And there's no real interest in Felix....what was the point of that 'swap' deal with Atletico?

To get 40m pure cash flow on the books for Gallagher which we owed nothing on.

Or at least it looked that way on the books...

I'm convinced we bought this dortmund Defender also to pay part of the gittens fee from the strasbourg accounts...

I get that, but Gallagher could have been sold to an English club for 35+ million (there was some decent interest in his services, Villa were very keen at the time).

Same with the Maatsen deal, we buy this Villa youngster and he's yet to play a proper game for Chelsea.....all the while we don't have a backup LWB in the first team....

Once Sterling goes he is probably the last of any BlueCo signings who was on big money. Doesn’t necessarily mean we will look to spend 200k per week base salary just because we have free’d up £350k a week. Just look at previous seasons whilst we’ve been cutting wages.

Well....speaking of Sterling, there was rumors of Fulham potentially being interested in a loan for him (probably with us paying most of the wages).

Whoever gave him that contract till 2027 should be investigated 😆

Maresca said it goes for all players not being happy, but we know the way this is going don't we? Too much noise around Noni and this transfer, he is off to Arsenal and we will be better for it, especially as Maresca was asked about Kudus and he said he knew him from Ajax

Take this as you see fit but apparently Winstanley spoke with WHU yesterday and has told them to slow things down with Spurs as we are ready to give them the amount they want for Kudus and to rebuf any more bids from Spurs. The club are trying to get the maximum for Noni without putting Arsenal off as talks have sped up hugely since yesterday and all parties are sure a deal will be done.

What LW do we have that is better than gittens?

Is Gittens better than Madueke , Mudruk , Joao Felix , Pedro Neto ? If you want a really upgrade you go spend money and take Nico Williams or Rafael Leao .

I'd love Kudus.

Where would we play him?

Strange, strange decision. It was always assumed that a part of the justification for the deal came through its link with Gallagher's move. Well I hope it was a massive piece of financial wizardry because, just as predicted by many here, there has turned out to be zero footballing purpose to signing Felix. Either time.
