We already have Caicedo, Lavia, Essugo and Santos for two MF positions. Rodrygo swap makes sense for both teams actually.

Would welcome it with open arms tbh

Rodrygo might really go.

Nico Williams is a LWer

he hates playing at RW

Real have THREE world class LWers

Vini Jr

Mbappe (who plays as a CF/false 9)

Rodrygo (who plays out of postion at RW now)

Zero clue why Real would let a far better winger (Rodrygo) go and then DUPLICATE the same 'out of postion' shite with Nico that they had/have with Rodrygo.

Rodrygo is 240k euros per week which is around £200k. Enzo is 180k and Nkunku is also leaving with 200k. Shouldn't be a problem.

It's a big stretch with these guys tight wages also probably rumour as good as dead if we dont get Top 5.

I love Lavia but I think we can go ahead and just assume that he’s going to miss some significant time with injuries. And Essugo is a complete unknown. So if we sell Enzo we’d definitely need another dependable CM I think.

Even with Enzo around, the team looked like it was missing that midfielder who links the midfield and attack, and is extremely good in doing pass sequences that help get through low blocks - Odegaard/ KDB/ Kroos kind of midfielder. Worth going into the market for one regardless of Enzo's situation

True. Like I said earlier, Wharton from Palace looks like the ideal midfielder if we need one. He is ultra comfortable on the ball and is great at playing between the lines linking the midfield and attack. He 100% looks like a midfielder that Pep will fancy at some point so we’d do well to be there if possible.

I would never sell Enzo at this moment. This young team needs leaders and no one except Enzo and Caicedo is showing that they can lead or push a team. Most of the players don't have the passion that Enzo has at the moment.

I would keep Enzo at least for another year until we have some leaders in the team. He is the most passionate player in the team and i would never sell him.

If Madrid offer to pay what we paid or more, sell him. He has improved this season but was never worth the fee we paid and never will be. Too much of a passenger without the ball for the PL. Less pace and slower tempo in La Liga so would suit him better.

This is kind of where I’m at. I really like Enzo as a personality and love his play on the pitch when he’s at his best but I don’t think he suits the super high intensity of the PL as well as he would other, slower leagues. When matches become very stretched and end to end he struggles because he’s not the quickest or most athletic. Bit like Fabregas or Jorginho when they were here.

I don’t WANT to see him sold and I’d be perfectly happy to keep him for years more, but if Madrid offer what we paid or more I’d do it so long as we replace him with someone new who suits the PL better. If the idea from the club is to sell Enzo, not use the money for a replacement, and then simply say that Andrey Santos is his replacement then it would be a huge mistake.

12.20pm - Leboeuf sign off

Frank Leboeuf asked if Chelsea should pursue Rodrygo:

🗣 "Yes, because he’s is different class. He has some experience, he knows the top level. Comparing him to the others who came and didn’t perform for Chelsea.

“There were some unknown from the world of football, but Rodrygo is a different level and definitely a good signing but I think he would cost a lot."
