And Rodrygo would surely only go there if he’s assured of a starting role every week or else he’d be in the same situation as he is now at Madrid.

Arse have been fucked at LW for ages (and at CF, to a degree) they are strong AF everywhere else

Sterling was a hyper flop for both them and especially for us

Trossard is back-up quality only (granted a very handy squad player) and turns 31 in early December, and only 5 of his 10 goals came as a LWer, including only 3 EPL goals all season as a LWer (he scored 10 goals in 3500 minutes all comps, 4 of which came in his last 8 games, when he played as a CF)

Martinelli only scored 10 goals, all comps, in 3600 minutes, and only 2 of those came in 1300 minutes of CL and domestic cup footie

Rodrygo would walk into them a nailed-on starter, especially if the wildly erratic Martinelli goes to Saudi

I was talking about if they get Eze first. I don’t know why they’d need both.

If we add Kudus and top GK then we have a chance maybe.

a lock-down, experienced elite level CB is FAR more importanted than Kudus, who is yet ANOTHER left footed winger/AMF

absolutely do agree on the glaring need for a WC GKer though

So no Kudus for us then. Would’ve been a nice signing but a luxury. Not too bothered.

Just hope that if someone else is brought in it’s anyone but Garnacho.

the choice (over Kudus even, as Kudus is a lefty, and we already have a shedload of lefty wingers/AMFs, plus another coming in in 2026 in G Quenda) is simple

the righted footed, massively talented young Malick Fofana

then our 2 LWers (Tyrique goes on loan, and get the fuck rid of that rotter Sterling, plus Muddy is fucked for years) are Gittens and Fofana, super talented and young and hungry, let them fight it out over minutes, plenty to go around given all the games we will be playing

another example

we spend 23m pounds on lesley and now what? he will go on loan how many seasons?

That isn't even that bad. You guys seem to keep focusing on the players they make losses on. Every club has that.

They keep turning profit on other players. Angelo, Conor, Omari, Hall, etc. Not just that - these loan fees we are getting are substantial half the time. I mean even players useless to us like Disasi and Felix are getting us 6 mil a season. So they aren't even an accounting loss season to season.

Not sure why fans are even worrying about this. This group have a history of success in the sports business from the money side. The point is, they buy, they keep adapting and keep building towards success. We can complain all we want, but our turnaround from midtable to top 4 has been the quickest I've seen from any of the big 6. All that with the most disruptions. New management, trade window ban, complete overhaul of internal operations, and several new managers. No other club has turn it around as quick with the changes that have occurred.

At the very least the board and team have learned to fail fast and get back to the drawing board. Its nonsense to say they aren't trying to win titles with the signings.

During preliminary Madueke talks, Chelsea enquired about including Max Dowman in a deal, which Arsenal immediately rejected. (@HandofArsenal)

Eze is not a true LWer

he is is more of an AMF/No 10

Rodrygo can play either wing, but as a right footer I have always rated him more on the left

BUT

Real have Vini Jr and Mbappe for LW (Mbappe forced to play CF, Rodrygo RW)

I just can’t see Arse spending £68m on Eze to backup Odegaard, £50m on Madueke to backup Saka, and then £80m+ on Rodrygo. All that after the big money to sign Zubimendi and Gyokeres.

If they sign Madueke and Eze there’s surely no way they’re still in for another AM like Rodrygo.

Chelsea did hold talks regarding a move for Kudus, but it is understood a move to Chelsea is unlikely. [@SamiMokbel_BBC]

Without a replacement, it makes little sense to sell Madueke. Would actually keep him and give Estevao time to adapt to English conditions

RW in our team can play Neto, Estevao, Palmer.

AM can play Estevao, Palmer and Joao Pedro even Enzo.

Kudus also playing AM and RW. Don't understand Kudus links and we certainly don't need Madueke replacement. We are fully stocked.

If Noni stays - you're expecting Estevao to be third choice behind him and Neto? Then you also have Cole who is starting to play there again.

Doesn't make sense. We need a LW and to get rid of Noni.

Based on the Champions League registration, we need to make 60 million in sales.  Guessing Madueke/Petrovic/Carney/maybe KDH sales would help reach that figure.

they would have to be insane if they could do (for sure) EITHER Rodrygo or Noni but not both and they chose Noni

madness

same for us with Rodrygo versus most any other winger remotely available, including Kudus and probably even Morgan Rogers

The more I think about it the more I’m of the mind that another specialist LW must be brought in if Madueke goes. If the idea is to depend on Gittens who is only 20 and coming into a new, much tougher league + Tyrique George who isn’t ready yet either then we could be in trouble in that area if the former struggles to adapt.

Not a Kudus type who can play anywhere but isn’t natural in a specific position. But a natural LW who you can swap interchangeably with Gittens. George can go out on loan and play every week.
