Its def an opportunity though no......if it means our back 4 get some protection then its not bad

Play Gilmour and Kova together and the back 4 will be well protected due to the fact the opposition won't be able get the ball of us.

Its never that simple especially vs big teams with quality players.....and what about counter attacks? Kante Kova and Billy can game together.......good aspect is that we look to have insane level of flexibility now.

We should still go grab Kai if money is there.....even if it turns half bad we could still recoup half that fee.

I was jesting a bit but it's a good a 'defensive' strategy in my eyes, opponents have less chance of hurting you if you dominate possession, add Mount, Werner and Ziyech higher-up and we have an outstanding set of pressing player's to limit chances further still.

Prevention is better than cure, instead of worrying how to stop opponents attacks, stop them building ahead of steam in the first place.

Ohh I get that and you have good point but im not sure its a sure way always, and im not sure Billy is ready to have such a responsibility already.

Benrahma looks insane in that video but it seems weird that we'd be after another super skillful winger like him when Boga could've just been brought back.

Also, it's pretty weird how we haven't been linked at all with a single CB that I'm aware of.

Probably because Benrahma is happy to be squad depth (and fill in when Pulisic and CHO have their annual layoff's) whereas Boga wanted a more prominent role.

Sounds somewhat plausible as a rumour about such a rather low profile player usually is not manufactured out of thin air.

has anyone actually seen the guy?

As Willian and Pedro will leave us it is plausible that we sign another winger given the CHO and Puli are always injured and Werner is more of an inside forward when deployed on the left.

Not the first window we have been linked with him. He dominates in the Championship at times, but not completely sold he can do it at the big boy table.

ALABA IS ALSO IN THE SIGHTS OF PSG

https://rmcsport.bfmtv.com/football/mercato-alaba-serait-aussi-dans-le-viseur-du-psg-1933815.html

PSG, who are following closely the evolution of Lucas Hernandez, substitute at Bayern Munich, would keep an eye on one of his teammates, the Austrian David Alaba, according to Sky Germany.

The PSG has made Lucas Hernandez his priority in his defense, according to information from RMC Sport. But another Bayern Munich player would also be in his sights. With the scheduled departures of several players in the defensive sector, including Layvin Kurzawa and especially Thiago Silva , the needs are known. They are located in central defense and on the left side in particular, two positions that David Alaba is capable of covering. The 27-year-old Austrian international, left back, has been repositioned by his coach in the central sector of an airtight Bavarian defense, the best in the Bundesliga.

A contract that ends in 2021

PSG would, according to Sky Germany , have expressed interest in the entourage of David Alaba, whose contract ends in 2021. And who, according to the latest news, had not yet extended his adventure in Bavaria. "We will see that in the coming weeks," said the 27-year-old defender at the microphone of Sky Germany, rather confident about an extension, last month. "I am focused on the essentials. We have not set a deadline," he added. Can PSG take advantage of it?

Bayern wants to keep him

Two factors would oppose the Parisian designs. First of all, David Alaba would always have preferred Spain as a destination in the context of a departure. Then Bayern Munich wants to keep him. Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic has been confident lately, saying the parties will be around the table only after the championship is over. Bayern are seven points ahead of their closest chaser, heading for an eighth straight Bundesliga title.
