Extremely. Bullet dodged, doubt Arsenal with get both him and Caicedo, so chances of us getting Caicedo should be better now.

I do not think he is worth £110m or so (which sounds like the total with add-ons counted)

that said, he DEFFO strengthens Arse and at the end of the day that extra £30m or so (I would pay £80m max) is a drop in the bucket (extra 4.3 to 6 million quid per year when you amortise it out over 5 to 7 years)

Manure has Casemiro (I think he still has 2 or maybe even 3  world class seasons in him) so they were not too hell bent for leather

Explain why you think he's overated.

He's only overrated if you expect him to orchestrate play or be the CM that leads the team's transition. It's why he'd be perfect at Arsenal as their build up under Arteta is primarily through the use of inverted fullbacks and their wide wingers tucking in. If you expect Rice to come in and do Enzo or prior to him Jorginho's role, he'd flounder.

Rice would be a fantastic partner for Enzo but Caicedo is probably the most complete midfielder.

I just find it so unbelievable that Arse of all clubs who have ridiculed and looked down on other clubs spending mega money for decades will suddenly spend £100m on Rice and also spend £70m or more on Caicedo. Not to mention that they’re very similar players and would be an awkward pairing. Plus they still have Partey.

It would be completely out of character for the club. They have other key needs as well. They going to spend like we did last summer?

I don't feel you can hold that many passengers in the build up play these days, even if they're not the main "ball player" they still have requirements.

If Rice signed for us I could forsee opposition manager commiting more resources to marking Enzo because they knew Rice wasn't that huge a threat in possesion.

Mbappe seems like the kind of ego that won’t even consider anyone else but Madrid so this should be a pretty boring “saga.”

How they’re going to afford Bellingham for £100m, Mbappe for £150m or more, and also a new striker with the stricter La Liga rules I have no idea.
