Apart from the flanks where it's open season (Robertson is out of his depth in his new hybrid role, it's why they were prepared to break the bank for Colwill).

Even with Caicedo they're conceding for fun unless they get a new LCB.

Lavia would be great as a long term development player who we gradually ease into the starting XI. He’s not ready to start every week as the sole DM in a side gunning for a UCL spot yet.

True, they’re very weak defensively at both fullback positions. And unless they sign a new LCB they’re fucked if VVD gets injured again.

Completely forgot about Gakpo. By all accounts he’s ready to explode this season now that he’s settled.

Think Brighton set a deadline. Although if there's ever a saga that will provide one final twist it's this one (as Caicedo clearly is quite flexible on where he ends up).
