It will for sure . People complain about lack of end product when he has the best goals to minutes ratio in the squad and came very close to scoring more. Who is he supposed to create chances and assists for ? We had no striker and no one can score

Still enigmatic Poch doesnt want Felix...only for Pochettino to start giving turds like Lukaku and Pulisic chances.....

Well that's not actually happened yet, so stop making myths up, Felix I don't believe would put in the desired work to play how poch wants, most on here can see that's the case.

If Inter don't cough up the millions and Poch does a bit of magic of motivating Lukaku, he could be a good option for a season or two. He is a proper striker and has an abundance of exp. The bad blood with the fanbase can be erased with a couple of goals after the season we had(at least in my opinion).

If he does not want to be here, there is nothing we can do, but I am not in love with alternatves:

- Vlahovic - possible catastrophe

- Osimhen - mega millions and injury prone

- Lautaro - no chance

- The new Haalnd form Atalanta LOL - unproven and expensive - I like him the most

- Toney - banned

- David - I don't see anything in him

- Kane - seriously??

Who else? Openda, who would have been a great buy for a back up, if we had a number 1 striker? Lukaku isn't that bad and can give us the points against the worst teams. We lost a lot of them this season.

The chance created stat isn't reliant on other players doing their job to go on record, hence I used that and not assists. I think I read he's created one big chance which if I recall rightly was Hall's missed sitter Vs Fulham minutes into his debut.

For an attacking midfielder it’s reliant on having a striker ahead of you surely. Easier for an attacking fullback to rack up those stats by swinging in crosses providing they have good delivery

I would be very disappointed if anyone forgives him on the basis of stat padding at home to Luton.

As far as I'm concerned if we're stupid enough to bring this dickhead back big goals that lead to big titles is the only way he should get forgiven.

If Osimhen proves too expensive or decides to go to a UCL club I can 100% see Lukaku being brought back into the fold. Everyone within the club from the manager, to the hierarchy, to Lukaku himself will probably spin it as a genuine “fresh start.”

As crazy as it is to say because I never wanted to see him in a Chelsea shirt again, I’d rather be\ring him back and see what he does under a Poch than spend huge money on Vlahović who I’m not sold on.

Hell, I still say we throw a £100m or more bid at Kane and see if Levy is crazy enough to turn that down with 1 year left before he goes for free.

If you set up say James on the right for a 1 vs 1 (which incidentally he had the chance to do Vs Everton but didn't see him/decided to shoot) it goes down as big chance created/key pass regardless of if Reece finished or not.

I would rather continue with Kai than give that wanker another chance.

Even ignoring his lack of character and honour he's the total athesis of a Pochettino player even more than he was Tuchel.

True, but there aren’t exactly 4-5 clear choices to pick from out there like there are for the midfield. Especially in the position we’re currently in.

All I’m saying is that it wouldn’t shock me if we had to use him because we simply couldn’t pull a big name #9.

You had me until you said keeping Havertz is even an option.

I doubt it - Lukaku himself pushing heavily to stay on at Inter. I don't see Lukaku being at the club next season. The market is thin for a top striker but I would rather roll with Nkunku, Havertz than have Lukaku around again

If it's between that and the return of Mr first touch it's a no brainer. If nothing else he presses well enough to not totally compromise Pochettino's system before he's even arrived.

But yes in an ideal world he goes too at this point or at the very least is on the bench.
