A factory of very talented youth players who went on to achieve plenty of glory after departing Arsenal Yes, and if these youngsters turn out to be as good as Wenger's Arsenal, that's not a bad thing. I wouldn't mind a few seasons of rebuilding with solid top 4 finishes along the way. 3 hours ago, robsblubot said: We know it's hard to find and attract leaders who can really make a difference on the pitch, but that's why they make the big bucks. I look at City and for every Foden, there is a Gundogan. That's the right balance. Agreed but who do we sign that offers leadership qualities right now? If only there was someone like Casemiro available for our midfield, who could come in and steady the ship and be the experienced head for these younger guys. I'm just not sure where the club turns to for that leadership as we're definitely short of that 28-30 year old profile in midfield that Makelele/Matic/Obi Mikel type to shore up the midfield and break up the play as required. Agreed. Heh, Makele for sure. Matic to a lesser degree. Mikel, nope never a leader I think. Very passive "do a job" player. Wouldn't mind a Lampard type one bit tho. 😁 Yeah Casemiro was underrated even after all that he had accomplished at real... weird. BTW, I really think the senior players were the reason Arsenal did not win the league. So, you can develop youth and they can help with squad quality as well as roster if you do it right. With all that said and done, you will still need to get those few players who will make everything connect; the ones you are missing. Arsenal just did not have the right ones--they weren't good enough. Jesus injury did not help them either. They are stronger now tho, esp with Rice in midfield. Pizy 18,985
You’d think we would’ve learned our lesson giving Kepa a massively long contract and the n did in it impossible to shift him out. Now if Sanchez is average like Kepa he’ll also be on a 7 year deal. Damn.

Pizy 18,985
So that’s now depth at keeper set and depth at CB set. We’re 100% set at both fullback positions. We’re mostly set in the wide attacking areas. There’s really just that one MASSIVE piece of the jigsaw missing and we all know what it is. It’s pretty insane that we’ve left that move basically for last when it’s the most important position we needed to address. Anything we do in addition to a DM would be a icing on the cake. TheHulk 2,507
I read that Caicedo missed the PL Media Access where all the players get shot in full kit. Maybe they think he is leaving and left him out.

Thor 2,745
Maatsen locked up is great. Feels like one of those players who can easily slot into first team whenever needed, but also go for long spells starting as well. Highly skilled guy, dynamic and does it all.
