Pizy 18,985
Feels like it’s all lining up for us to have every other signing done and in place and then we’ll make one final bid for Caicedo nearer the start of the season. Which is super risky because if Brighton say no AGAIN we’re fucked.

Why would he sit going about telling his own teams fans he wants to leave Brighton at a club dinner & awards event? His mentality and how he is going about trying to get this move is absolutely mind boggling and quite frankly, ridiculous. If this is how he wants to go about coming here and the sort of character he is, when he is meant to be representing their club, telling fans that at a club event, wouldn’t even bother. Or whoever is telling him to do this, are poorly advising him. Imagine a Chelsea player going about at a club dinner/awards night saying they wanted to leave to club fans? The boys obviously frustrated but very idiotic and needs to check himself a bit.

Vesper 30,271
JUVENTUS DEMAND LUCRATIVE €50M FEE IN TRANSFER SWAP BETWEEN LUKAKU AND VLAHOVIC https://www.getfootballnewsitaly.com/2023/juventus-demand-lucrative-e50m-fee-in-transfer-swap-between-lukaku-and-vlahovic/ Juventus are set to play hard-ball with Premier League giants Chelsea as they demand a hefty price-tag for Dusan Vlahovic within the potential swap involving former Inter marksman Romelu Lukaku. Gianluca Di Marzio, via TuttoJuve, reports that the Bianconeri are demanding a transfer fee of €50m with the addition of the 30 year-old Belgian international in order to obtain the former Fiorentina forward. With the London Blues having begun negotiations at a low fee, the Old Lady are open to potentially reaching an agreement within the €40m mark. As it stands, intermediaries are holding talks in order to reach an economic accord that pleases both parties. As it stands, Lukaku is not keen to remain at Chelsea after a horrific stint since rejoining the Premier League side following Inter’s title winning campaign. Whilst it seemed that the 30 year-old was destined to return to Inter this upcoming season on a permanent deal, the potential moved collapsed entirely as the Nerazzurri were left furious after finding out that Lukaku has held negotiation talks with the Bianconeri. With Allegri eager to have Lukaku play a vital role up-top, the has reached an agreement on personal terms, involving a three-year deal with the option of a fourth. Moreover, the Serbian international seeks a new destination as he is frustrated with Allegri’s tactics, whilst Juventus are simultaneously willing to offload Vlahovic as a result of his reoccurring physical issues. With Juventus not taking part in any European competitions this season as a result of being banned by UEFA, the additional cash-flow from the Vlahovic sale is intriguing as it would compensate for the club’s significant decrease in revenue, permitting them to make additional transfer moves within the market. Also, Juventus would possess an experienced striker within the front-line, possibly playing a pivotal role within the race for the scudetto. However, Allegri’s side is well aware of the risk of signing an older player who has had an underwhelming loan-spell at Inter last season in exchange for a younger player with re-sale value, enabling Chelsea to replace the Belgian international with a 24 year-old who still has potential to grow . Vesper 30,271
Game over for failed Chelsea signing Cucurella, as ruthless Pochettino swings the axe: report https://www.teamtalk.com/Chelsea/game-over-failed-Chelsea-signing-ruthless-pochettino-swings-axe Mauricio Pochettino has already seen enough from an expensive Chelsea signing who he’s ready to sever ties with before the summer window closes, per a report. Pochettino has been keeping a close eye on all elements of his squad in pre-season. One area in particular the Argentine has much to mull over is left-back. Indeed, Chelsea have four specialist left-backs on their first-team books at present – Ben Chilwell, Marc Cucurella, Lewis Hall and Ian Maatsen. Chilwell is unquestionably the first choice among that quartet. Given the relative ages of the other stars and the transfer fee Cucurella cost, many might assume he’d be second in line. However, according to a report from Chelsea expert Nathan Gissing, the Blues are ready to wave goodbye to Cucurella for good. The Spaniard cost an eye-watering £55m (rising to £62m through add-ons) when plucked from Brighton last summer. Cucurella featured regularly amid Chilwell’s injury struggles, though rarely impressed. Per Gissing, Pochettino has seemingly seen all he needs to see from Cucurella and has taken a dim view of the results. Indeed, writing for Gianluca Di Marzio’s website, Gissing stated ‘Chelsea are also open to offers for Marc Cucurella, who only joined permanently from Brighton last summer.’ One might expect that’ll open the door for Lewis Hall to assume more of a significant role at Stamford Bridge. However, Gissing also noted Chelsea have internally decided Hall should make way, this time via the loan route. Through process of elimination, that would leave the attack-minded Maatsen as Chilwell’s primary back-up. Maatsen has impressed in pre-season, though has generally featured further forward with Pochettino reportedly wooed by his versatility. In any case, it sounds like it’s game over for Cucurella after just a single season in the capital. Who he might join or how much Chelsea might recoup was not speculated at in the piece. I don’t like the abbreviation for obvious reason that is why I spelled it out. The point was the position does not really exist in Poch‘s spurs era 4231 which is why he has to tweak it here. Would be criminal not to play Nkunku there. I hope the talk about him replicating that system here and is thus being in for a classic no10 are pure BS speculation Edited August 2, 2023 by Magic Lamps
