Yes exactly 2nd Striker=SS thought that was clear from context. I don’t like the abbreviation for obvious reason that is why I spelled it out.
The point was the position does not really exist in Poch‘s spurs era 4231 which is why he has to tweak it here. Would be criminal not to play Nkunku there. I hope the talk about him replicating that system here and is thus being in for a classic no10 are pure BS speculation

you said the 2nd best

who is a better second striker?

we had Felix, and not a chance he is better

also, no way, at this point that

Paulo Dybala (he was oa  free and we did not even bother, which I was not happy about as he can play RWer too)
Antoine Griezmann  (in decline, WC aside, and there he was not a SS)
Thomas Müller  (34yo in 6 weeks)

are better

No I am not worried about our Def either.  Would trust any of our present cb options and even rate Colwill over Gvardiol. Can see Disasi being a shrewd buy as well. Have been a fan of Badiashile from day 1. just a shame that the money spent on Fofana could have been used elsewhere way better without us being a yota worse off.

Last summer must've been the worst way to spend 300m in football history, it was that bad. Even if we seem to have got back on track that summer will continue to haunt us for a long while now.

we buy this fella from Rennes so we are overvalue our midfielder

its too many players

we need to sell gallagher and loan chuko and casadei at least

I wouldn't loan Chukwuemeka.. he's a good player who we need to start using more.

Liverpool have been haggling and struggling to afford Lavia at £50m. The idea that they could then move to Caicedo and spend £85m-100m seems super sketchy.

But if they do somehow match our bid and goes there we BETTER get Lavia. He’d be the only acceptable, face saving move. Tyler Adams and Edson Alvarez would be a disgrace.

I'd rather play Gallagher every single match of the season than get Alvarez or Adams.

Rather, you live in some illusory world, in which the club works at the top level by taking only young players around the world  with potential and it is almost expected from Pochettino to rank them in the top 4 with zero experience in the team , but in fact the level is much lower than what it was with Abramovich.

The very fact that Brighton has been playing with  us all summer clearly shows how well the club is doing. Cheers .

It's one thing criticising the club in some aspects but pretending all our rivals are doing amazing alongside that just reeks of an agenda.

Does Brighton really think anyone is going to believe that bullshit LOL

"Hey Moises, someone bid more than Chelsea, but unfortunately we cant tell u who, but its NOT Liverpool. Byeee"

Maybe it's City and don't wanna reveal so it doesn't happen like with Rice.

If it’s United or Liverpool I think we’d have a chance at convincing him to choose us. We’ve been after him hard and have shown our determination to get him by bidding again and again. That has to mean something to the player.

But if it’s City I don’t think we have a chance. you don’t say no to Pep and City are as close to a trophy guaranteed as you can get these days.

Brighton claim offer rejected for Caicedo

Chelsea could face competition in their pursuit of Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo.

Brighton claim they have received a bid, from an as yet unidentified club, that surpasses Chelsea's most recent offer for the 21-year-old Ecuador international worth a total of £80million.

They are intent on holding out for their asking price and won't budge on comparing Caicedo's value to that of England midfielder Declan Rice, who moved to Arsenal from West Ham in a £105m deal.

Brighton previously rebuffed approaches from Chelsea and Arsenal in January.

Chelsea are considering alternative options should a move for Caicedo not materialise, including Liverpool target Romeo Lavia of Southampton.

The bid doesn't seem real.

Has anyone watched Disasi frequently (and not on a 2-3 minute sped up ‘Welcome to Chelsea’ youtube compilation with a dodgy EDM tune either)?

Haven’t seen him play and reading mixed reports. Some saying good some saying bad.

At least hes not another 18-19 year old though and has actually got a bit of experience by looks of it. And has some NT games for France.

Also wouldn’t be surprised if United are in for Caicedo. Although could just be Brighton trying to get us to up our bid but at the same time they’ve repeatedly been saying they wont sell him unless their valuations met and their manager also made a jibe at us about having European football so wanting to keep him. So I don’t get why Brighton would make it up either.

Utd have been following him since he played in Ecuador, nearly signed him ahead of Brighton and have been linked to another midfielder (Amrabaat in particular). Picking from Eriksen, Mount, Fernandes, Casemiro, Caicedo/Amrabat would be pretty strong but also hard to see who plays every week and for the price of Caicedo - seems a risky thing to do. But then at the same time, reading a lot about them wanting to sell Fred, McTominay and Van der Beek so obviously they still want to get some more quality in there. I just hope its not City or Liverpool though as thought they were out of race (despite City going in for Rice).

Haven't seen a ton of Disasi at all, he really does look slow as anything though which gives me Koud vibes. Goal threat and passing look very good, we've lacked the goal threat aspect since losing the Brana’s, Cahill and Terry etc in my opinion, though yes, first and foremost stop goals, however it's good for the CBs to chip in now and again.
