Apparently we have indeed inquired about Kalajdzic at Stuttgart. 30m would be the price. They are in no need to sell but are realistic to see that it is the last year they will get serious money for him.

How come suddenly our academy boys are all signing for PL-clubs first teams? What did I miss?

Since our average squad age is about 24/25, most of the players want a easier route into the first team. Like Lamptey last season, Livra, Bate and MPH have an easier time getting into Brighton, Leeds and Brentford respectively.

Nah, this is Chelsea doing marketing for Kalajdzic to make Dortmund think they should replace Haaland this summer with him. We probably have info that they are following him.

Honestly I find the whole youngsters exodus so ridiculous, when pathing to the first team has never been more viable and potential, we have some of our talent go elsewhere. Yet years gone by we’ve had youngsters stick around on the ‘hope’ of getting a chance.

We have more academy players in the first team squad and picture now than ever before.

Cannot wait to see some of them tumble down the leagues and end up giving an interview on talk sport about how they just ‘knew’ they wouldn’t get a chance at Chelsea blah blah blah.

Some of us can take real joy in seeing Mason Mount in a Chelsea shirt lifting the CL trophy. It’s a shame some of our young crop don’t have the same stomach.

Mount and James are separate  from the rest given their mental aptitude. They’ve always had it and no surprise they are starters/regulars.

With the (long running) rumours of Broja being in the squad this season and now the smoke about Sterling's inclusion this season it seems like Tuchel unlike Conte is prepared to improvise a bit if he can't have number 1/ideal targets.

100% the right way to go, especially now as we have a first team line-up that are already top notch and on the up.

Declan Rice rejected West Hams’ third contract offer. Player wants to be aware of any bids made for him. West Ham may consider a bid over 60 million

- Matt Law

Just got around to listening to the podcast where Matt Law said that. He actually said Rice has only rejected two contract offers so far (in line with what was reported recently) and he would reject it again if West Ham were to offer another one. And with Rice only have 3 years left on his contract, West Ham would be keen to sell him as early as possible because his value will obviously drop each year. They would consider 60 million+ offer for him.

Other bits that Matt Law also said:

- Broja could well go out on loan.

- On Haaland, nothing new. Nothing is happening. Both clubs' position is clear. We want him but no inclination from Dortmund that they would sell Haaland this summer. All depends on how long we want to drag out the interest this summer before going for alternatives (if we haven't already).

- Club tried to have another go at Kane but it won't happen for obvious reasons. Tuchel doesn't care about the whole rivalry thing but the club know it's impossible to get a deal done.

- On Lukaku, there are still talks behind the scenes, despite his public declaration that he'll stay.

- Between Haaland, Lukaku and Kane, a deal for Lukaku is more doable because Inter still need money, even though they have said otherwise. That could change if Dortmund suddenly budge and maybe lower their asking price.

- Club in a tricky situation over the ST situation. They don't want to commit to a big deal without knowing someone will buy Abraham and they also don't want to sell Abraham without knowing that they will sign a ST. The latter situation would put the club in an unfavorable position because others would know we would be desperate for a ST. It's not clear cut which ST we will get and it's not clear cut that we will end up signing a new one. Not beyond the realm of possibility that we'll go into the season with Werner, Havertz and Abraham as the three ST options.

- Club would listen to offers for Ziyech but not sure where the offer will come from because the club would want the money back, if not more. (Saw a report yesterday that Milan are still interested in Ziyech but unlikely to make a move for him)
