All 5 UCL clubs loading up this window. It’s a serious arms race. Plus Spuds even showing ambition signing Kudus and maybe getting Gibbs-White. Plus who knows who else.

The there’s Villa & Man United who haven’t really kicked into gear yet.

With no European football at all I actually think United could be dangerous as an outside contender for the final UCL place if they nail the rest of the transfer window. If they sign Cunha, Mbeumo, a striker, and a CM of some sort then they’ll have a pretty strong team tbf to them.

If United are going to kick off the season with Hojlund or a free agent like DCL, they won't have a sniff of CL football.

Badiashile: “Yes, I will always be at Chelsea next season. The club, the coach and all the staff give me a lot of confidence and believe in me. I will do everything to get them back on the ground. I love the club, the city and the fans” (@lequipe)

Not sure they can afford much else right now. Teams aren't exactly lining up to take away their wantaway players either.

It’s hilarious to watch how depressed United fans are these days. All of the other big boys are loading up and have all signed multiple good players when they’re already miles ahead of United. Meanwhile, they’ve signed only 1 player in Cunha who nobody else was after and have been “negotiating” for Mbeumo for like 6 weeks.

As I said though, Cunha and Mbeumo are annoyingly good signings for them considering their position. Two attackers who have caused us loads of problems when we’ve played against them. If they can pull off just a decent striker to upgrade Hojlund they’ll be much improved and dangerous. Maybe an Ollie Watkins?

Romano suggesting we are done signing players and will only enter the market to replace Jackson and Nkunku.

Who is back up to Cucurella, who played 5,000 minutes this season?

That is definitely a worry. We don’t have a back up LB.

How different things might have been had they beaten Spurs.

I'm still not sold on Amorim, tbh. He might have only been in charge for a few months, but just at the stark contrast between his impact & Pereira at Wolves.

Chilwell, Veiga, or Gusto at LB. They are the options we currently have.

There's still so many question marks surrounding a number of players who could still do a job if needed.

Weird how we haven’t heard a peep about Veiga. Either about staying or going. It probably makes sense to keep him since we aren’t even linked with another LB currently. But at the same time the entire reason he left on loan in the first place was because he wanted to start games.

I didn’t watch a second of his time at Juve so I have no clue what he did there.

There are some players I sense just aren't to Maresca's liking, he being one of them.

Veiga played 15 times for Juve as a CB, something that isn't very unlikely to happen here.

Ekitike to Newcastle is on according to Romano, and talks with Eze and Arsenal are on

Eze just does nothing for me. People love him on here, but whenever I watch the game he does very little and occassionally produces some magic from game to game.

Happy he never even popped on our radar.

We can't be blind sided by Sanchez's performance last night, we still MUST go for a keeper, it's huge we do so

Personally., CB ahead of keeper for me.

If Colwill is out for any period, there's still a question mark about the best CB pairing.

A top CB will really solidify this team as a consistent unit.

Never expected new keeper because Sanchez finished season strong regardless CWC. But for CB is also tricky. We had third best defense in the league. Tosin and Chalobah played really good and once Fofana is back from day one they're just his backups for RCB role. Badiashile just confirmed he is staying and he is Colwill's backup for LCB. That's 5 players for 2 positions. One of Josh or Sarr may also be included.

Following this logic, it is questionable wheter we can consider Jackson as a true striker aswell. He is closer to Joao Pedro than Delap, definetly not a classic 9 or poacher. His passes, runs and dribbles seem to be his biggest strenght, not his finishing. What I dislike about Jackson is that he is looking for his teammates too much, a striker must be a bit selfish and shoot when there's chance. Joao Pedro very impressively took his shots from longer distance against Fluminense, and also finished his 1-1 very elegantly, good to have a player who is able to do that things. Delap also didn't hesitate much against PSG, find his chances and fired.

Doesn't sound like Jackson at all
