Pizy 19,290
While every top PL club is seemingly focusing on bringing in attackers it would be great if we try to go big for a defender now since the bulk of our attacking signings have now been made. We may be able to get an easy run at someone who we otherwise may have been competing hard with because those other clubs are preoccupied with other targets. Clearlake have got far more midfield, attacking signings right than they have defensive signings. Only Cucurella is a success. Fernando

(via@Matt_Law_DT) I really like Kudus but if he goes to Spurs, it’s not the end of the World. I wonder who we will go for if he does go there. João and his agents are on the way for final part of medical tests and then deal until June 2032 will be signed. He’ll be already available for FIFA Club World Cup. (Fabrizio Romano) Years ago players used to come off their fitness regimes entirely during the off season. They would eat what they want, drink what they want, smoke, and do no exercise. As a result the first couple of weeks of pre-season training was never anything to do with football. They would just work off their summer excesses. Players often spoke about how they never even saw a football for weeks in preseason training. Nowadays things are different of course, but they do go into maintenance mode during the off season, so I'm wondering whether Pedro will actually be fit to play. Perhaps he's known for a long time that this move was on the cards and has been working accordingly. mkh 766
Chelsea looking for up to 3 more 1st team incomings before priority shifts to outgoings. Could adjust numbers if a surprise sale or departure does happen. CFC have a few 'untouchables' but outside of them, high quality offers will be considered, or if players ask to leave. If we want someone cheaper and I'm so so on him is Hincapie. I think with Alonso leaving he might want to go. But to me he is not at the level of Murillo, he is good but not someone I will lose my sleep if we don't get him. I do wonder if Marquinhos is up for a new challenge since he won the CL. I will like him ala Silva.
Pizy 19,290
Another attacking signing after Pedro and Gittens feels super ill-advised from our POV until we sell a few unwanted attackers. It gives the other teams who are interested in our players leverage in negotiations because they’ll know we’re under big pressure to shift them. Going out and spending big on Kudus at this point when we haven’t even got close to selling Nkunku, Felix, and whoever else yet doesn’t sound feasible. Unfortunately, by the time we’ll be able to move these guys some of the more premium options out there will have been snapped up. Kudus would be a pure luxury player for us whereas he’d be the marquee signing for Spuds since they can’t attract bigger names. So I think he’ll end up there where I assume he walks straight into their team as a key player. Fernando
Special Juan 28,791
I think Madueke will be moved on, he may end up at Newcastle and that's the reason we got Pedro over them, by letting them know if they gave us free run at Pedro we would talk about Madueke Fernando and mkh

mkh 766
If the rumours of Kudus are true, then the one thing that Chelsea has in attack next season is elite defence. What I mean by that is Delap, J. Pedro, Pedro Neto and Kudus are 4 of the most relentless pressers you could wish to ask for. They will hound a defence all day. Sancho, Madueke, Jackson, Mudryk etc have/had their own qualities but they were renowned for their play off the ball. Certainly not to the level required. Might be harsh on Jackson who does work hard but it’s often at the wrong time and wrong area of the pitch to make a difference. This might be a key reason for signing them. With Caicedo, Lavia, Santos and Essugo also snappers behind them, not to mention Cucurella, Chelsea really will have a team of turnover titans.
