I think we have to settle for more of the Garnacho prices along with Strasbourg kids and hope some we have here now kick on

I would be genuinely shocked if we spend more than £50m on any one player any time soon. Once you start targeting players above that price range they’ll also be commanding wages far beyond our structure. 

The days of us going and spending £100m on Enzo or Moi are probably done. our max will probably be the João Pedro/Gittens/Garnacho range of between £40-50m. Plenty of really good gems you can get for that but we simply cannot compete at the very top of the market currently with the financial situation we’re in with the stadium, not being in the UCL, and the UEFA sanction.

not surprised if he leaves, much more stability in Barcelona than here. Hopefully he can stay, but either way let's milk Barça if they want João Pedro.

There is just no chance we can sell João Pedro this summer. Of all our “big” players he is the least easily replaceable. We FINALLY found ourselves a striker who has the potential to be a consistent 20 goal per season scorer and then sell him after 1 year? Surely no shot.

You can find other high quality #10’s to replace Palmer or #8’s to replace Enzo if we ever decide to sell them. But reliable goal scorers are extremely rare these days and theres a reason there was a mad scramble for a bunch of them last summer.

Unless we ourselves go and get Julian Alvarez then theres just no way we could get someone better than JP.

Depends. If the cash is right they’ll do it because thats all they care about. 

A potential replacement is already arriving on a free transfer from Strasbourg. Not to mention, Jackson is returning.

Plus what if he looks at it and wants to go? I would say trying to sell the club to any player in its current state compared to the likes of a Barcelona or Madrid is going to be pretty hard.

These kind of serious, ruthless big clubs will smell blood this summer, they’ll look at where we finished in the league, level of/lack of European football etc and if theres someone they want make a big move.

Would stop using the words “top quality” when discussing replacements also. Will not be happening.

if they sell pedro for anything less than 100m, then they are really retarded.

there are literally less than 5 class strikers who are available and are on the same level with pedro, so we have to use that as a leverage and squeeze out as much money as we can. we have to have a fuck off asking price. especially since if we sell him we have to buy a replacament, and there are not a lot of them.

i dont have a lot of confidence in emegha and especially not jackson. i would sell delap and jackson, loan out emegha and buy a backup for pedro.

If he absolutely demands to go in an aggressive manor then in a vacuum we’d probably let him go reluctantly. But even under that circumstance I don’t think Barca could even afford him. Our asking price for a far inferior striker last summer was what, £60-70m? If that’s what we were seeking for Jackson then JP has to be worth considerably more.

There are maybe 3-4 players in our squad who we simply couldn’t replace with equal quality in our current position and JP is one of them. Should be a strict not for sale stance.
