Not had that feeling since the first window under Boehly. And we likely will not ever again with these.

True. It’s impossible for me to get excited about the profile of player our club is obsessed with now. Kids or players from smaller leagues that are pure development projects. Taking punts on cheaper talent in hopes that they explode into superstars down the road.

I’m 10x more interested and excited about players we already have on our books coming in with Estevão & Andrey Santos than I am about new signings.

Only way for this feeling to change is a demonstration by the club that they know something has to change. If they go out immediately and splash money on a ready made, finished article #9 like Osimhen or Gyokeres then there will be reason for optimism. If we instead go for yet another Nico Jackson (a raw, project striker) then we may as well resign ourselves to finishing 5th or 6th again and being miles off of City/Liverpool/Arse.

Chelsea remain admirers of Alejandro Garnacho and Jamie Gittens.

Chelsea maintain belief in Robert Sanchez.

Chelsea are not guaranteed to bring in a defender, having already signed Mamadou Sarr from partner club RC Strasbourg.

If any of this is true… which I really do believe could be.. WE ARE PROPER FUCKED.

Djordje Petrovic is attracting a lot of transfer interest from within the Premier League and in Europe - and Chelsea might be tempted to sell him before the tournament [Club World Cup] starts.

@NizaarKinsella

Sanchez stays😭😭

Fuck this shit. Honestly, this would be ridiculous.

I mean if we were really interested beforehand like the reports say stating long standing interest, why didn’t we sign him directly from City? Like Palmer? Like we tried to do with what do you call him, the fullback, O’Reily?

Your guess is as good as mine. City have a buy-back option as well, which I hadn't seen mentioned anywhere.

So why are some excited over Sesko if he is putting up 13 goals in a piss weak Bundesliga? Jackson has scored more than him... Delap is putting up near identical numbers in a way tougher league and with far less service.

I'm just trying to understand the Sesko love. Below average finisher, not much else to his game...

Whose we?

My thoughts match yours. I saw enough off him at last year's Euros to see he's just another hyped up player.

City going for ready made stars who will instantly step into their team and make a significant impact. Exactly what we should be doing but instead we will continue to target players who are still at the beginning of their development and could take multiple seasons to reach their potential.

They did sign Reis & Khusanov for almost £70m in Jan. I don't see them as ready made anything.

Getting De Bruyne's massive wages off the books might have the slightest impact on potential business next month.

As infuriating as he is, selling Nico Jackson would be extremely stupid. Having him as a rotation option is the perfect role for him. Or as someone who comes on if we really need a goal and can play together with whichever new striker we sign. Or even used as an emergency wide player. He’s still very useful just not as the main guy.

New #9, Jackson as the backup, and Guiu as the youngster who develops in the lesser competitions. This is the kind of depth we need.

Huijsen is gone, he is signing for Madrid, time to forget about him. Madrid have got their man and will pay in 3 payments

Wirtz could go to Liverpool or City, both wanting a very talented player, while we do nothing.

We will not get rid of Sanchez, him and Jorgensen will still be here next season

This summer already gives vibes of another garbage summer. Look at what others are doing and trying for...Wirtz Liverpool/City...Reijnders City,

Shambles

predictions of doom:

the only new CF we bring in is Emanuel Emegha

the only new CB we bring in is Mamadou Sarr

no new GKer

the only new winger we bring in is Garnacho )or Gittens IF Dortmund bend the knee to swap deal plus cash for Carney)

Maresca stays

and, IF we blow the Conference League final, we end up back in the Conference League next year as we somehow bollocks up CL and even Europa League spots, perhaps by losing to both Manure and Forest

we fail miserably in getting rid of a large part of our massive deadwood pile

BlueCo continues to internally fight and next season it breaks up (I think Boehly bails, sells out)

why do you think he would be ok with not being a starter anymore.

i would rather sell him the chance we get because he strikes me as a guy who would be a pain in the ass if he doesnt get what he wants.

If Huijsen was any other nationality I wonder if Real Madrid would even have known about him. Just doesn’t seem right seeing a guy go from tiny English side where he has been very promising but not elite straight to the biggest club in the world. I thought for sure he’d do a stopover for 3 years somewhere and then go to Madrid if he develops well. But I guess you can’t possibly turn this move down as a Spaniard when they really want you.

Him already saying his ultimate dream is to play for Madrid months ago means that whichever PL club may have landed him would’ve been instantly on the countdown timer until they started tapping him up and he asked to go. So it’s a blessing in disguise that this didn’t happen. CB is one of the last positions in the team where you get a top player established for a couple of years and then he forces himself out. Too difficult to find top ones.

As for Murillo who some keep mentioning, he literally just signed a new deal a couple of months ago, right? An ambitious club like Forest coming off their best season in decades wouldn’t even consider selling him for under £100m. No chance we can get him.

🚨 𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆: Real Madrid-Bournemouth have reached club to club agreement for Dean Huijsen, £50m clause to be paid by end of 2026 ⚪️🏁

Shame for sure, but he's not the only decent CB in the world. We have to move earlier to buy and lock down players like that (in January perhaps, like we did with Enzo before the other clubs circulated).

Be case of drag feet then panic buy. If we dont get CL obs be a lot harder. Know other clubs have gone without and attracted but we don't seem to have any sort of attraction other then prob pay stupid wages

You have to admit it's a bit contradictory to say you don't believe in the club's approach to recruitment and that, instead, you're excited about players who were signed precisely because of that approach.

Both Eze & Roger’s are so integral and important to Palace and Villa that I just cannot picture them being available. Not for anything under an absurd sum like £80m+

Eze, I would be really happy with. I think he is a top, top player. Is good on either foot. Excellent strength/balance, good striking ability as seen with some of his goals from long range and also creative too. Also at a good age too and defo would add creativity and hopefully goals. Also think there may be a gentleman's agreement for Palace to let him go if a bigger club comes calling. Similar to what happened with Olise last season, Eze was also linked with moving, however stayed for this season, however would not be surprised if he now gets his move this season as you could say he deserves a bigger move. I have seen City linked with MGW. I am surprised they aren't in for Eze who would suit that no.10 role for them big time. Also think Palace will let him go at a 'reasonable' fee due to his loyalty to Palace over the years.

Rogers, I am sure is just rumours. He will be a Villa player next season s he is key for their future and would cost way too much money.
