I am increasingly a big believer in just spending the premium to buy established PL players, and only rarely spending big cash on players otherwise. At this point, we are simply out of time, the club is out of excuses, and they need to put together an XI that can put on a respectable showing against any team in the world - at minimum one that can battle and conceivably take us to pens in a final against the truly elite teams. These two seem like the most realistic PL targets in that regard. Just offer them good money and get it done. Ship out Colwill and other HG players if needed to cover it. I checked, he has 5 goals in the PL, not too hard to guess who were the opponents, the shitiest defenses: Chelsea, MU, Spurs, Ipswich, Southampton He has further 3 in the Carabao Cup, 2 against Champo-side Norwich, one against us, of course. I think the boards needs to break its youngsters-only rule and look at the market for senior players (Ollie Watkins, ) who would be a good pickup at this point and complement the younger legs around him.
