Guehi is good but 65m …

probably better spent than on disasi, too bad even the Saudis run their club more smartly than clownlake do .
at least we get the sell On fee

Once more we bought a player at the career peak of his valuation after his wc cameo and will now need to sell him for peanuts. Expect the same will happen to Mudryk, fofana, Enzo, caicedo. Buy high sell low the mantra for clownlake

We all know what's inflating the fee. I wonder when more EPL games will be smarter with their money.

Arsenal just sold two forward players and they have been relatively quiet this transfer window. We may think we have VO over a barrel and we could be setting up a reduced price for another team to buy instead of a loan.

It would be pretty hilarious (in a depressing, “all you can do is laugh” sort of way) if they signed him at the last minute after we’ve been after him and dragging our feet all summer. But Havertz looks to be settling well in that forward role and Arteta seems to really like Jesus still. Osimhen is kind of the opposite type of striker to those two so would Arteta fancy him? Idk.

He could be their Haaland I guess. Someone who barely needs a kick all game but can still score you a hat trick.

You sure? My latest info was it was being held between June 15 and July 13 2025 in the US. I hope I get a refund for the tickets then lol

That is next season. New format.

The December-played old format is gone.

June 13 is just 2 weeks after this seasons CL final and well before next seasons preseason… not sure why one would refer to this as part of the 2025/26 season

the point was however the physical and mental challenge for our current squad to likely to play around  a record 70matches in a row. whether you call the cwc part of the current season or not is not really relevant as the challenge remains the same

Later June and July 2025 are not part of the already concluded 2024/2025 season.

The EPL is over, the CL is over. The next transfer window is open. Contracts end well before the business end of the new format. New players will be added to teams, and some will be gone.

The CL winners for last season, (2023/2024) Real Madrid, do NOT have a World Club Championship to play in come December 2025.

It’s an insane amount of money for Guehi. He’s a solid CB but nothing more.

The money is higher because of the nice sell on we have. He’s a good CB and nothing more but what I would do to have him here right now !

I see this happening. Havertz can play in the middle and Jesus on the left. They could really go for one of Osimhen and Toney to complete their team

Calafiori, Merino and a striker (?) They’re running a great tight ship and it’s awful to watch

He’s a stud. Proper striker. Was saying that before the start of the season.

Once he gets a consistent starting role he’ll be firing goals in. Just has IT.

He has been a good impact sub but he’s yet to show he can be a starting striker. I don’t want another experiment to join

There is also international break in June 2025.  3rd and 4th round of World Cup 2026 qualifications plus semis and final for UEFA Nations League. Literally just a couple of days difference between playing for national teams in Europe and coming to USA to play CWC. It's gonna be really challenging and curious to see how teams lineup there.

Speaking of Merino, why have Arse been so keen on him all summer? They’ve got Rice, Partey, and Jorginho in CM already. Is he purely for depth?

To shift Partey and reduce Jorginho reliance

BREAKING: Aston Villa have opened talks with Chelsea about signing Raheem Sterling.

(@garyjacob & @TimesSport)

Instinct can actually see it happening. Almost fits like a glove truly so long as he is ready to put ego aside and finish floating between the bigger name clubs respect to them. Bet he’d find it very fun, the fans would be elated. All said, Emery is a smart guy 🤨
