I’ve been watching more Jorgensen on YT and again, this guy just looks average. And he looks absolutely NOTHING like an Ederson/Allison/Costa/Raya type who passes the ball around like an outfield player essentially. He just looks like a traditional big keeper who is no better with his feet than Petrovic now or Mendy when he was here.

Feels like we’re going to be making yet another mistake in the goalkeeper department and will be looking for a new one AGAIN 1 year from now. If this one doesn’t work perhaps on the 4th attempt next year we’ll finally realize that we should just spend the fucking money and buy a proven world class keeper and stop being cute trying to uncover someone?

Understand Chelsea are ready to sell Trevoh Chalobah for £30/35m.

IF we get £80-85m for Gallagher and Trevoh then I will be quite happy.

I just don't see anyone paying 50 million for Gallagher.

All his possible destinations in the PL are pretty much gone, Villa got Onana, Spurs got that young Leeds midfielder and even if Atletico are interested, they won't pay that sort of fee for him.

Find it odd that we've bid €20m for someone who signed a new contract till 2029 just last month.

Yeh but you're forgetting the most important point, Jorgensen had the most saves according to this website:

Just tells you he played in front of a bad defense.

What Atletico Madrid may have to do before they can sign Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher this summer

https://www.thechelseachronicle.com/transfer-news/what-atletico-madrid-may-have-to-do-before-they-can-sign-chelseas-conor-gallagher-this-summer/

Atletico Madrid are interested in signing Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher but are facing a bit of a problem.

As of now, it appears that Conor Gallagher‘s price tag is proving to be too expensive for Atletico Madrid.

In fact, it has been claimed that Chelsea think Atletico can’t find the money for Gallagher, though that could be about to change.

The Englishman was a key player for Chelsea last season, making 50 appearances under Mauricio Pochettino.

But with the Argentine now gone and Gallagher into the final year of his contract, his future is in serious doubt.

Joao Felix could open up Conor Gallagher’s move to Atletico Madrid

Aston Villa are interested in Joao Felix, and his potential switch to Villa Park could be the thing the helps facilitate Gallagher’s transfer to Atletico.

According to AS, Atletico have already made an unsuccessful €20m (£16.8m) offer for the 24-year-old.

The same outlet claims that is half of Chelsea’s minimum asking price but the Spanish club doing such a huge deal is still possible if they can offload Felix.

The Portuguese forward, of course, spent the second half of the 2022/23 season on loan at Chelsea and could be returning to the Premier League this summer amid Villa’s interest.

Aren’t we also just fucking ourselves over by signing yet another keeper when we still have so many on our books? Who is going to want to pay more than a few million for Kepa and Petro if they know we’re desperate to move them on? Or really, pay ANY fee at all? If I’m a club that’s interested in either of them I’m just waiting until deadline day when Chelsea are sweating and offer a loan proposal.

Did somebody say this guy was statistically one of the worse keepers in La Liga last year?

You couldn’t make it up.

Data strategy at its finest.

Yeah, that's why we are after him

People on here overreacting at the talent evaluation - because they've done extremely well up front and in the midfield.

Saying that though, GK and the central defensive roles have been atrocious. The bought Disasi and Badi who were shocking from a goals allowed perspective, and now they're after the Villareal keeper who had the most goals conceded...
