I said it before.

This administration is on course to screw the Poch if they don't give him the central midfield he needs before the start of the season

Before anyone accuses me of being a negative nancy who just throws shade at every move the club makes, I'll say two things.

I accept the club has made a lot of good moves this window with smart buys like Jackson and Santos., and moving on deadwood

But, as with everything they have done in the past season, when they try to undo mistakes, they overcompensate in the opposite extreme.

They got burnt with big money signings last year, so now they want to drag their feet with the midfield replacements for our departed senior players.

I'm not going to even mention the potential Vlahovic move here, because it's idle paper talk at this point. But that's definitely not a move we should be considering.

All this is going to undermine any good work that Poch does.

There's a difference between recognizing mistakes and actually learning from them

Based on what happened last season, I've come to the conclusion that this administration is very poor at the latter.

I don't want to repeat myself by typing all over, so I leave my quote up there.

If the Caicedo transfer to Liverpool is truly done and dusted, we are well on our way to having another mediocre season.

Not as bad as the last one, because we at least have a decent manager at the helm., but won't be much to shout about

And Klopp hypocrite, whining bitch complaining about our spending. That's over 200m pounds for 3 players.

Didn’t they also spend a shit load on Darwin too. I stopped listening to Klopp talking about our spending ages ago

Looks like Caicedo doesn't care or has any saying 🤷 Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool all same for him. Hard to respect people like that. Remember VVD who wanted only Liverpool? If someone offered more to Southampton back then he would refuse to go.

Transfer request for Arsenal, missing training for Chelsea end up in Liverpool. Plus that contract he signed. Very questionable personality not sure he has what it takes to succeed at highest level.

He has one good season and people act like he is the best thing ever at that position.

Remember when we spent 100 mil last time on a player that was meant to change it all. We went from 12th to… 12th.

We are buying players on the up, some with experience, and guys that are undervalued.

Kante, Dave, James, Costa, Silva, Rudiger, etc….

All players that came on the cheaper side or through the academy or that were “second choice” and they won us silverware.

That 100m player played under 2 complete clowns, he will show his class this season but not sure his partner will hold up.

I'm sorry, but that comes across as a strawman argument.

No one wanted Caicedo because he cost 100m, they wanted him because he is highly rated.

Lukaku on the other hand already divided opinion before his arrival. Myself and several others on this forum expressed concerns about his arrival.

EDIT: I see you mean Enzo, but my argument about Caicedo stands

Both Brighton and Liverpool wanted Colwill. And BOTH  lost out. We keep him and he never cost a penny. Fenway Red Sox Sports Group now end up paying 110m (!!!) which is more than Rice, for a player Brighton bought recently for 4million. Their forums laughing at us for such little reason....

Will these jokers take that £100m and offer it for some other midfielder now? Someone who perhaps wasn’t available but their club cannot possible turn down £85-100m? Barella?
