In Sterling's case, it's probably similar to Lukaku, its up to them if they "want" the Saudi League move or not.

Sarr is missing on that list. Carney? Also why 11 days? Transfer window is open full August and for outgoings even longer in some leagues. Saudi for example till 20 September. Pizy 18,896
As good as Humphreys looked in preseason he’s another player we should be trying to use to soften Brighton’s stance with Caicedo. Extend his contract and offer him on loan there. His game looked very similar to Colwill’s. Left footed, calm and composed, and the sort of young talent De Zerbi loves. He could fill the exact same role Colwill did for them. bluesman2610

I think loaning them Andrey Santos or Ugo would be more an immediate need for them if we leave it so late in the window they can't sign a replacement. Humphreys would do really well under De Zerbi though, I just don't think they'd be fussed now and he would probably be backup. A loan to a team with a similar ethos of playing out from the back but have a problem player that can't handle it would be good for Humphreys though, maybe a year in the Championship? You’re right, I forgot they just bought a new CB.
Magic Lamps 11,692
Gvardiol to city now official. Wow. And we are stuck with that equally expensive rinsed cripple. Great job. Last summer must have been the most disastrous transfer window in history.
Special Juan 28,141
At least we have Colwill and have acted with signing of Disasi

Levi, Badi, Disasi - lets wait and see what happens when Fofana is back. We have a good selection of fullbacks as well now. Defence has never been a problem for us. We never leaked a whole lot of goals, and that was with a shocking group playing in front and protecting them as well. Would trust any of our present cb options and even rate Colwill over Gvardiol. Can see Disasi being a shrewd buy as well. Have been a fan of Badiashile from day 1. just a shame that the money spent on Fofana could have been used elsewhere way better without us being a yota worse off. NikkiCFC 8,317
So Gvardiol most expensive CB ever. 90m euros. Played WC semi final, CL... While Brighton rejected 93m euros for Caicedo. Joke... cfccrost
Pizy 18,896
I literally couldn’t care less about Gvardiol anymore. I would’ve loved him here 1 year ago when we almost got him. But we’re now set at CB for the foreseeable future so I’m not bothered. I’m very keen to see how he and Colwill stack up when compared directly in the PL. Gvardiol is quicker but Colwill is better at actual CB things like winning aerial duels and defending. Both are great passers and users of the ball. There are many talented CBs around overall. Not all have the hype Gvardiol has but few cbs have to be the finished article at 20. CBs often peak late bc a lot of the skills they need to Master go beyond technical talent or natural athleticism but are acquired. Experience and years of learning tactics, positioning, timing etc. Players usually don’t have all of this at 20. MoroccanBlue

I'd actually prefer a loan with a buy option say 35M€ to a permanent sale for 25M€ now, even if there were no guarantees the option would be triggered. It's very likely with all the sales already completed we've brought in more than enough money to cover any immediate FFP concerns and with Trev under contract till 2028 and the club also holding an option for another year, what's the rush? Chalobah has zero amortisation value so just having Inter paying his full salary for the season would basically clear him off the books for the current financial year but still give us better control over his future. If he were to go on to have a Tomori-like breakthrough season in the Serie A we could easily get more money for him next year than we would now, whether from Inter or some other club. They have no impact on eachother, even assuming on the unlikely event he wanted us over City and we were considering him it would rightly or wrongly have been Colwill and/or Badiashille that would have stopped us making any move. Because Chalobah's book value profit (pure profit) will come as revenue before the 70% FFP cap comes into effect. I don't believe the loan+option to buy rumor in the slightest, and if it is true the club will have 100% hung up the phone and put Inter on block.
