He’s a fantastic player and you want as many fantastic players in your squad as possible but I don’t see how this would work. He’s WAY too good to be a rotation player. He’s every bit as good as Chilly I think. So we’d have two £50m LWB’s competing with each other? I wouldn't say average... he was pretty instrumental in our CL run and played very well in the final vs City. Average players don't do what he did in that run. It takes away their greatest assets and what makes them special which is their ability to bomb up and down the wings wreaking havoc. Actually I feel a fullback in the CB positions in a back three offers a good balance, especially vs sides that sit deep, at times you're almost playing with 2 fullbacks on the overlap.
