Are Dortmund a club who have accepted payment installments in the past? Or are they a hardline, “give us all our money up front” club?

Wonder if they’d accept something like €100m this summer and another €50m next.

It's been €150m (not pounds) for ages, now all of sudden it is going up? Not buying it. I have been all over this, and I am by far the FOREX conversation stickler on here since I joined, so it is not me making a conversion. His release clause has been quoted as between 65 and 75m euros. If is the lower, then €175m is only 20m away from being TRIPLE that. 150m euros is double the higher quote of €75m, which if fair.

IF the price they demand IS truly €175m, (and you know add-ons are not included in that) and IF that cunt Raiola insists on a 3 years or so and out escape hatch, then FUCK THE DEAL.

FUCK HÅLAND, as IF those are the conditions and price, he is NOT worth it. I draw lines in sand.

TBF, don't think any potential price tag has been set. Everyone has been just throwing random numbers out there.

I think it depends on the seller but paying transfers in installments is quite common for big money moves, I believe. United, for example, will be paying the Sancho transfer fee in installments.

Different case though if they have a release clause. That I believe the buyer will have to pay the money upfront immediately.

€150m makes sense, it's double the highest quote of his release clause next summer

if they try and go for €175m + add-ons/bribes to the cunt Mino and his father + a 3 years or so escape hatch

then fuck the deal

buy Vlahovic (DCL I fear will be close to 90-100m quid or so) and see what happens

and ffs (not yelling at you, lol) sort out all the rest of our weak points if possible

it's a buyers market like I have NEVER seen in my life

Looks like we dodged a big fucking bullet not getting Hakimi, his agent said today the fact Chels are CL winners threw Hakimi off.

Explain this please. You are saying the fact we have won a HUGE trophy (biggest club trophy on the planet) without him makes him not want to come?

Well, can't blame the seller if they want to milk more money out of us.

Either way, the potential transfer is gonna cost a lot of money. I feel like it's either we buy Haaland and no one else or don't buy Haaland and buy others. And by "no one else" and "others", I mean getting players in other positions.

There is no pressure on him to win CL at PSG. He can have his payday with no expectations and look good for RM to come for him in a few years.

His agent quotes:

https://www.marca.com/en/football/ligue-1/2021/07/10/60e96a4be2704eb09e8b463b.html

"Real Madrid had the right of first refusal until PSG and Inter said that the deal was going to happen," explained Camano.

"We maintain the illusion and the dream that Achraf will return to Real Madrid because he was born in Madrid, he grew up in Madrid and, as a final goal, one day, he would like to play for Real Madrid"

Camano admitted that there was also interest from the reigning European champions.

"Chelsea also bid for Achraf. The fact that they are champions of Europe perhaps threw him back."

Yes, the pressure is too much for him, no one gets a free pass at Chel or EPL for that  matter.

PSG is PSG mate, a piss poor league, massive wages, not much pressure compared to Chels and EPL where the expectation is high under a manager that demands you are on it at all times. Life is most def easier at PSG vs Chels. We dodged a bullet.

tell that to the trillion quid sheiks

Think of how many managers Abramovich has sold before you judge who is more ruthless. Also think of how Hakim has adapted to prem, I think Hakimi would take a while to settle, if he ever did.

He does, but if we can’t get a top of the line, marquee striker than I’d rather us get a cheap stopgap than spending 50m or something on a mid level guy who might be a bust and we’re stuck with them when Haaland is available next summer.

If we can get someone in the £25-30m range this summer who may not be spectacular but is effective and can score the easy chances we create that’ll have to do. Then that striker can become our backup striker next season.

Or perhaps the plan is to just stick with Tammy and Kai. Which…..wouldn’t be good.

I really wish it was as simple as that but part of the reason we create so many chances is because everyone is involved in not only the build up but the pressing to force opposition errors in dangerous areas. A fox in the box striker to "finish what we create" sounds good in theory but it could quite easily go the other way where our chance creation goes through the floor and we're relying on said player to finish almost every chance he gets.
