Can anyone genuinely tell me that Chilwell is not a flop signing? £50m wasted for an absolute brick.

Thought he was abysmal today.  Are there any LB's that are even remotely comfortable using their right foot?

To clarify, I meant from the position we head beore the game not from the position TT took over. We can not really afford to not win these kind of games with the ground we have to make up. The wins vs everton and liverpool are worth nothing if we fail to back them up with wins at awkward little clubs like leeds

Havertz became more of a CM than false 9 the moment Mount came off given both Jorginho and Kante had no control in midfield. Think more needs to be spoken about those two instead of Chilwell. A team aspiring for top honors shouldn't have central midfielders with such blatant limitations.

We lost any semblance of control as the second half went on.

Happy with the players on the pitch

Flabbergasted at their positions.

Azpi       christensen      rudiger     Chilwell

               Kante               jorginho

                         Mount

Ziyech                  havertz         pulisic

Would have been much more dangerous

The names before the results, before the performance. The expected potential over every consideration. ...Well, well... Anyone see the game as he wants, let's hope we won't bitterly regret our golden boys's sterility if the game sheet does'nt change against Athletico

We still looked dangerous even with the lineup that turned out today. Havertz had 3 chances and didn't convert any one of them. Pulisic also got into some good positions but the final ball to him was lacking.

Our Cm's have all faired better because of the formation change under TT. They have more channels to pass to so they're exposed less.

Whenever we switch formation or need anything going forward from them their shortcomings come back to light and they become limited like you mentioned. At least Kova can hold up possession on his own once in a while but he didn't play.

It's not even that, his defending was awful. The amount of times he lost the ball was ridiculous as well as his attacking contribution. He's just an average left-back, and I was originally against this signing. Reguilon would've been a much much better signing.

What's the aim of our game ? Looking dangerous ? I can understand how the image, the look got more and more important in our societies but without win, it's still have no meaning for me, particularly when you're Chelsea.

Our LB or LWB position is covered awfully, must be said. One may be solid offensively but fails in other departments, the other fails almost completely. Apart from that one nice period under Lampard, Chilwell has been nothing special. At all. And for that money? You get Maguire vibes.

Oh, and then there is the third one. And TT always uses all 3 in the match squad. So pointless.

He was playing RW.

But I still question his decision to restore Pulisic to the starting 11 without merit. It felt like he was reacting to all the negative articles in the press about Pulisic.

He was playing as a RWB but super high up the field in a hybrid back 3/4 system today.

The bar isn't very high but at least Pulisic looked lively for a change today, for the first time this season!

We were not horrible today. I am going to find the positive and enjoy the weekend. Maybe we needed this result to have the players laser focused in training and very hungry against Atletico.

Our win vs Atletico also came off the back of our 1-1 at Southampton. I am confident we can hold out vs Atletico. They looked absolute garbage every time i saw him this season. Spanish football is quickly going down the drain.
