I realy think we didnt need to buy him, there are other far more important positions to adress.  Unless Roman is shitting gold again...

+for the rumoured 100m, thats not far from what Bvb wanted for Sancho. Id prefer him over Kai tbh.

On the other hand, Kai has potential to become KdB esque player, it would be great to fix that mistake.

Havertz and Chilwell are just a matter of time now.

Our interest in Oblak is confirmed by Atletico assistant, now Gimenez speaking how he likes Chelsea and we want Rice?

Maybe Buck did not joke when he said this around 9 months ago?

Chelsea chief Buck hints at massive transfer spree as he jokes Abramovich could spend ‘a zillion’ to compete for title

I dont even know how would I react if this happened. It would be completely unbelievable and out of the blue, more so with the corona and everything.

Id probably just laugh in disbelief until december😄

No need for Rice if we get Gimenez, might as well get Aouar instead if so.

Google:

Is a zillion a number?

A zillion is a huge but nonspecific number. Zillion sounds like an actual number because of its similarity to billion, million, and trillion, and it is modeled on these real numerical values. ... However, like its cousin jillion, zillion is an informal way to talk about a number that's enormous but indefinite.

He definitely did not joke

Roman casualy bought all the oil barrels when they were cheap and now selling them for 6x the price....

And then he saw FFP is rubbish in city trial, so it will be like 2003 all over again😄

He sold a stake in gold mine for over a billion like two weeks ago.

Exciting times...

Isn't our new highest earner Werner who will be on just over 200k per week? Our club pay somewhat sensible wages (lol) compared to say United/Barca/Madrid etc. who pay some players 400/500/600k per week.

Cant imagine them paying a young player who isn't a global mega-star nearly 400k per week and destroying our wage structure. Then you'd have all our young players demanding mega money when they're negotiating. Think about what Tammy will be trying to get for instance.

Tammy will get a nice chat with few Roman boys who will kindly explain to him he isnt a 400k a week player. Solved.

So in reality no new development has happened? Didn't we figure it out ages ago that there's roughly a €20M difference in the fee to sort out with Marina willing to go as high as €80M including add-ons and Leverkusen insisting on the €100M?

But at least the clubs are still talking so they must believe they can reach an agreement in the end. One way or the other this won't drag for much longer.

€20m a year.

Wow! It’s no wonder he’s been pushing it.

I'm not buying that. All other sources (who insisted personal terms agreed a long time ago) have been saying €9M/year. With probably bonuses on top.

Not to mention a contract like that completely destroying the wage structure at the club I'd say unless FFP is dead and buried with Roman happy to cover for all losses like it's 2005 again, the club can't afford to have Havertz costing a total of €40M/season on the books. A deal like that is asking for trouble, whether it's FFP or unsettled players earning less money.

Isn’t Kante’s on £290K/week or did he end up re-signing for less?...
