Summary of this:

- Deal understood to be between £45-50 million.

- Marina weighed up whether to commit a big outlay on a LB but there has been no serious consideration over other options for the position.

- Chilwell currently nursing a heel injury, will be back in about 3 weeks. Has undergone some checks to establish the condition of the injury, with Chelsea kept informed of the results.

- Lampard decided early in his reign that he needed an upgrade at LB (hardly surprising) and identified Chilwell as the main target.

- Leicester lowered their asking price because they took a financial hit from the pandemic and failed to qualify for the Champions League. Plus, Chilwell also wanted the move.

- Man City regarded as the only serious rival for Chilwell but they never made the move.

are they going to post the 99% meter like yesterday for Havertz? I want to see a Here We Go! What happened to Matt Law? Have not heard from him recently.

A bunch of our journos are on vacation... must say it is a strange time to take off as it’s the heart of transfer season

Well shit. Frank and the club must reaaaally fancy him if we're buying him despite being injured for another month and cheaper alternatives available.

Not much difference to say Reguilon needing a few weeks off after the Europa League final tonight.
