Just this first half makes me so much more confident with Lampard. He will make some mistakes but he's just shown tonight how flexible he is and how prepared he is to learn from those mistakes.

about every other throw in has been called wrong. there were clear fouls on pulisic not given and the way matip gets every decision is a joke. I am not saying that women should not be refs in a mens game just as the other way round. Clearly the gender is irrelevant for being a good ref. but the occasion has clearly gotten to the ref team.

Absolutely superb first half performance. Kante back playing his natural position is a joy to behold, he is at the heart of everything we create. But the first 10 minutes of the second half will be crucial. Pool will come flying out of the traps at us, so lets hope we're ready for it
