Yes Alonso should have run back fasfter but that is not the problem. You cannot lose the ball in the middle of the field while we are in build up phase. You can lose it either on the side or deep in their territory. That is how you prevent the from countering.

You point is exactly the same as Carraggher but in klopp point of view, it is not he fb fault. It was the passers fault Hazard tried to dribble to traffic got caught suddenly counter. He made bad croasfieeld pass, got caught counter. Alonso position is always high, that is his position. Hazard cannot make bad pass unless it is deep in opp territory or on the side. Sort of agree with your point but Alonso also has to do more to get back in. Although he isnt incredibly quick to do so at times. Eden sometimes neglects to pass to him to go inside but again the full backs are always going to be high so losing the ball will leave us exposed at times, thats the same issue City and Liverpool also have though. Teams who commit their full backs high up are always going to be exposed in wide areas when there's a turnover.

Yes, I agree it is great if Alonso can get back faster but the problem is where do you want to lose the ball. That is the key. Hazard made two bad decision that led to two counter attack. He basically expose our defense by losing the ball in those positions.

Pizy 18,926
Barkley in the final third. 😂😂😂😂 It's almost comical. Kante is better when he gets around the box! That was supposed to be one of his best attributes at Everton. Shooting and being dangerous going forward.
