Ffs what state are the others in then!

You will see why Sarri is never the way forward for the club...keep pampering washy wishy piss poor players and continual persistence on past it players...so until Higuain plays 50 games he is get fit then....while CHO keeps wasting away on the bench....

Higuain lacks fitness. “He can improve a great deal. At this moment, he is not in good shape, probably because he has played very little recently between transfer market distractions and back pain. He can grow a great deal over the next few weeks," Sarri told SSN Italia. #CFC

We've been playing without a striker for so long that we wank over Higuain. He isn't that great to be honest but is an actual striker unlike the ones we had before him this season.

He is undoubtly a good player regardless.

For me, some of his movement is quite simple but its brilliant and effective. Only been 2 PL games but 2 goals today along with plenty of encourging signs regarding his natural instinct of knowing when to make runs. Just need to keep giving him chances because hes a clinical finisher when he gets going. Also for someone Sarri said is in "bad shape" that would indicate for me that the more game time he gets in next few weeks the sharper he will get. As I said plenty of promising signs along with his pedigree as well, why not be a bit optimistic about what he can do here the next 5 months?

Really is amazing what you get when a striker stays on his feet, runs the channels and takes a chance on a shot.

He won't disappoint here because the bar on previous strikers is so low.

Well done Higuain.

It's the difference between a good or decent striker and one (whether he is anymore is obviously open to debate) who has been world class. It's very refreshing to see a player who will take a shot on when the opportunity arises, right or left foot, and strike it with true intent.

He won't be the long term solution we do need to find but he could be a huge signing for the rest of this season, possibly the next 18 months and if he is fed he will score goals I've no doubt about that.

Confidence too, he looked up for his second goal and just took a chance.

Delighted for the bloke.

His second goal was good (deflected a bit), but that first one is just what we need. That first goal is everything, that's why you sign the great Gonzalo Higuain. True strikers' finish that fills all attackers with confidence that when you provide him with a ball he will fucking bury it.

His overall game was good too, he can still dribble and is stronger on his feet than Costa, for example. Really good body balance. Few misplaced passes here and there.
