It was basically a training session against a parked bus for 80 minutes. Then, for some strange reason, we let off the gas and allowed them to attack us repeatedly in the final 10 minutes. We looked totally gassed towards the end there despite them being the side who were chasing shadows all day.

 

I blame Sarri for this he doesn't rotate well, add that to him waiting till min 72 to make a forced substitutition of course they are gassed considering it's the Christmas period

To be honest he didn't have much choice today. Had to play Giroud because Pedro is injured, had to sub Giroud because he got injured. No way in hell would Morata ever make it to bench nevermind the pitch today if those two players didn't get hurt

To me it seemed like the tactic fell apart as soon as Giroud was subbed. Playing with false 9 for the last 15 minutes could have prevented that but there was no option to play that today

Giroud ankle injury didn't look good and Morata was woeful in his brief cameo. We absolutely have to bring in reinforcements soon.

Hazard looked dead tired by the end there so counting on him as a false 9 may not work for much longer.

We have more fixtures in January than we had in December and the squad looks super gassed already. Poor squad management from Sarri during this period no wonder the injuries are starting to pill up

True but those injuries are from his lack of rotation. Muscle injuries like hamstrings can be easily avoided if he rotates the players well. I'm not saying rotate the whole side but systematic rotation would have helped massively

Huge 3 points considering Spurs and Arse droped points, but man do we look clueless in the final third, if not for Kante's brilliant goal from a great Luiz pass it would have been a boring draw or worse. We need major upgrades, William, Alonso, Giroud, Morata are not good enough, im sorry but that is the truth.

What a monster Kante was. THIS is world class, he really is growing into world-class player. Azpi was immense too. Central-backs were really good. Others... not so much.

Completely agree. Should have rotated our front 3. Oops Pedro, Cho, and rlc are injured. What is his option?

And at AMF. We simply need another consistent goal scorer there. Unless RLC goes on a tear or Kovacic finally figures out how to go full on attack and shoot.

It looks like Sarri would rather lose his job than bench Alonso, even when his on a yellow card and being spun around like a figet spinner. On the bright side Kante stepped up and thanks to him we didn't draw. He was really active in the final 3rd
