Something has to be done about this.

Are the club managing bad the players coming back from injuries?

Just like they fired other people because of doing bad work, they need to look into this carefully and put the right people of making the best medical decisions for these player.

Putting two and two together (Fofana and James injuring the same knee right away + James' trainer's Instagram story) the coaching team are rushing these players back.

Just hope the 3-4 weeks is also not a another case of rushing him back.

In any case, even if he does come back., he needs to be eased back in. 20 mins per game or something similar.

Obviously there's nothing like a fully competitive fixture, but the fact that it took just 50 mins of real game time, as opposed to weeks of training and friendly fixtures to find out his knee wasn't ready, raises questions.

Club cannot always blamed for injuries.. Reece was a doubt for the world cup till the last moment. One month has passed since.

It is imaginable he pushed himself to be fit for the WC and skipped some of the build up but once the WC was over he should have put in the work. We do not know what went wrong but when you a rehab this long it should be expected of both, the players and the phyisios to be thorough enough.

RJ as good as he is is becoming our most injury prone player...

Chelsea Football Club has today released the following statement about Reece James...

Defender Reece James underwent assessment earlier today after being substituted during the second half of last night’s 2-0 Premier League victory over AFC Bournemouth due to a knee injury.

Scan results have regrettably confirmed a setback for the 23-year-old, with Reece now set to be ruled out for up to a month.

Graham Potter and coaching staff: please learn from this.

Pretty sure GP said Reece was never going to play the full game pre match but why not throw him on for 25-30 mins at the end and play it safe? Just seems amateurish.

Could still have got injured in those 25-30 minutes and then we'd say "why not give him another week to recover?" Probably they did the right thing and just got unlucky.

There is no such thing as unlucky, clearly its no coincidence someone who suffered a long term injury, only “recovered” recently got injured in their first game back.

Perhaps yes he could of got injured in those 25-30 minutes but its also naive to assume throwing someone in after so long out and expecting them to play 65-70 minutes is a brilliant idea.

Presumably there is a science to recovery and 60 minutes was based on a likelihood of being injured being essentially negligible vs playing 45 or 30. I assume recovery is like a bell curve whereby there is a period in which you really must not play and then you reach a point where not playing is such diminishing returns there is essentially no point in waiting. At any rate, Potter does not seem the type to ignore medical advice and the club does not seem like the type to ignore science / medicine. I would imagine it is managed better than you are giving it credit, and it is no one's fault that Reece has a weak knee.

Did you see Thiago Silva straining his leg in the first half? Seems like some fucker has jinxed the club

Seems like every win has to come at the expense of an injury.

Let's just hope it isn't Paul Pogba's witch doctor. Last f*cker he put a voodoo curse on scored a hat trick in a world cup final and still lost.

Lets hope the medical team and manager let him fully recover this time…. seeing as we seem no closer to acquiring a decent back up RB to continue overloading with attacking players.

Doesn't seem vocal enough to be a captain but then again I always associate captains with that type of style, perhaps that's wrong.

Absolute monster tonight, as Sterling was told to stay up the pitch in the second half he covered two positions and beasted a fresh legged tricky player to boot, held my breath for a moment when Bellingham fouled him in the last minute and his ankle looked to buckle on the replay.
