zekinjo 449
And he just wanted to be backed on and off the pitch. I’m just happy he’s off to a better place and world class football club. Fernando, kc_blue and kellzfresh
BlueLyon 9,359
Wasnt he talking about how he wants to keep Kovacic this summer, indicating he will manage us next season? And now he wants to jump ship to Juve? Well fuck him then if thats the case. As for fans backing him or booing him, he has to get one thing into his head that we will back him if he will deliver good performances, regardless of the results. But when the team lacks any sort of motivation for months, then he better expect the boos. Atomiswave

If he hadn't been backed, then WTH were those signings of Jorginho, Kovacic, Higuain about? Those situations involving the fans booing him weren't great, but if he can't take a bit of heat, a bit of criticism (especially when some of it was his own doing), then maybe he shouldn't manage a club at the highest level and go back to manage in Serie B or C or something. The Napoli fans might not have booed him when he was there but managing Napoli and Juventus is two different worlds altogether. Good luck to him if he thinks things will be all rosy at Juventus if/when things go south. Atomiswave, pHaRaOn and 1905didierblue
Pizy 18,909
Can't really blame him for wanting to jump to Juve. Unless Conte is backed with a couple hundred million Sarri will walk to the title. They'll have another deep run in the CL. He'll be managing a club that many top players desire and can likely cherry pick the best Italian talent whenever he sees fit. For a manager who just won his first trophy he's probably got the hunger to win more and views the Italian league as a triumph he came so close to achieving but coming up short. Look at the man he's replacing. Allegri is an above average manager who coasted to title after title. Sarri can enhance his legacy significantly there. Why stay here and fight for 6th? Because I can bet you 100% if you had spoke to Sarri privately he'd tell you he is sick of the fans booing him, prefers Italy and Serie A, is fed up of this and that etc. They have to say the right things in public as it can lead to a breach of contract believe it or not, if they bad mouth the club or a member of staff. They have to make sure everything they say is what the club wants to hear and the fans. They can show their frustration but usually when its to do with performances and stuff. My guess (and i mean total guess) is Juve contacted him a long long time ago stating they were sacking Allegri in the summer and would he like the job. He has obviously said he'd be interested, and then agreed terms. Sarri, his reps, and Juventus; and our club, then waited for the Europa League to finish and then sat down with the club and said "he wants to go to juve, how can we make this happen" I DO believe Sarri and Juventus have had this planned for absolutely ages, and there was never any chance of him staying

Managers are not like players. Klopp took Liverpool from 8th to CL trophy. They like the challenge. They thrive on it. Sarri had club backing, he got Jorginho, Higs, Kova. He didnt have fans backing because performances were frankly shit on many ocassions. When we lost but played well, there were no boos. But when we played like crap, Alonso in lineup, same subs etc, obviously fans will boo him. So what he has to complain about? If he truly wants to just jump ship because fancy Juve offers him a nice job, then he is an absolute coward and a twat. The worst professional manager I have ever seen. Managers go through shit but they leave either because their contract came to close or near, they get sacked or achieve everything and want a new challenge. They dont leave a top club after one year just because they get a fancy offer. I criticised Sarri alot due to perforances and his decisions, but I always supported his stay and project. However the shit he is pulling, I realy want him to fuck off (if this is true and not just media bs). Atomiswave

zekinjo 449
Jorginho was a gift from Roman and yes Sarri wanted him big time. Kovacic was Marina’s signing 100%. She got him VERY late as part of exchange deal for Courtois. All thanks to Florentino Perez wish to have his GK. Gonzalo Higuain was a mistake but it’s easy to say that now. This is how I’ve seen our ST situation in January: You can’t sign a very top player in January. Who in the world would let his first ST in January? We were in terrible situation at the time. Players couldn’t play attacking football, we struggled to create and score big time and some fans behaved like bunch of idiots. No backing for the coach from Marina etc. Situation with Roman etc was unbelievably amateurish. Now, Chelsea FC could have payed at the time for Piatek £70m-£80m they’ve been asking from us but we had no guarantees he’ll do good in PL and it’s huge money. We don’t even know if Chelsea had the money because don’t forget Pulisic has literally signed for us out of nowhere for £60m at the time. So yes, Higuain was Sarri’s signing but on Loan deal what was considered as very good deal. Roman personally sanction this deal for Sarri but only because we couldn’t get or pay HUGE numbers for way younger version of world class ST in January. Summer transfer market is the most important time for a football club in transition and Chelsea fail every summer. We’re so bad in this it’s boring. Actually we’re maybe not just our path isn’t 2004/05 anymore. Maybe we should just accept things. I don’t know. It’s like CIA and not a Football Club, nobody knows anything. Confidential. Sarri is gonna win fuck all with them. Major chance for all other teams in serie A to break Juve dominance. 17 hours ago, zekinjo said: And he just wanted to be backed on and off the pitch. He was given his favourite players, Jorginho and Higuain, the board had patience with him thorugh patches of atrocious results and even worse performances. Less bad patches had seen better managers sacked before. Sarri can consider himself very lucky not to be fired before he had to redeem his season which even though it ended in success was an overall poor season performance wise. And how is Juve a better place? You are a Chelsea fan aren't you? Chelsea for me still is the best place to be and the greatest football club on earth. Dont see any upgrade on that. So why should anyone be happy for him he is somewhere else? I am happy for myself we got rid of a manager who did not want to be here. I was ok with him staying but i am happy now he is gone. I hated his football and his old fart demeanour. If we get in a good manager he will be soon forgotten and rightly so. Atomiswave

BlueLyon 9,359
To speed up the Sarri arrival, Juv is willing to sell Higuain to us for 27m. Id laugh, but we are stupid enough to buy Higuain for this kind of money. Supermonkey92
Supermonkey92 1,428
Sarri will have them playing much better football than the dross against ajax. They were so predictable going wide and looking to cross for Ronaldo. It's whether he sorts the centre midfield out that will determine his success

Im glad seeing the back of him. Never Chels quality and simply didnt get Chels. I thank him for his service but fuck me was it boring and clueless 80% of the time. And imo he planned this shit with Juve months and months ago, I don't buy the nonsense that he asked Marina "do you want me to stay?" because no one does that when they're under contract. No one. You just keep on going until you're told otherwise. Because he would rather manage Juventus than us, that simple. And it's a return home. 2. He knew the majority in the ground, and it definitely is a majority, did not like him or want him back next season. I for one will not have super fond memories of him, too sour, too inept tactically and simply way too stubborn......good luck to him. RoyalBlues 4,050
Well if he is fully committed, we won't let Juve sign him no matter how hard they tried. So, obviously it is his will to go back home that matters most, and we're forced to let him go, with whatever his 'cover up' reasons (family, Hazard leaving, ban, board incompetence, etc). Anyway, hopefully we could find the right replacement in time.
