Being english and shit he could well bring 30m+. We could well use the cash to fund better players in positions we are not as stacked as in his. If he's happy to stick around as a squad player I'd keep him. It's easy to say cash in but there's not many even good squad player's available in the £30-40m range these days as we found out in summer 2017 and while Ross isn't good enough to be a regular starter he's certainly good enough for the B team (we will need a competitive back up lineup if we're to compete with Pep's City). Yup but what does he even offer as a backup? I mean there is nothing he is particularly good at nor is he defensively rounded enough. I dont mind him sticking around for homegrown quota. But he really has become kind of midfield William minus the toxic attitude. No effect on either end.

Yeah, let's see what happens this season, but if he continues to stagnate Connor Gallagher can replace him next season. Especially since our new policy is to introduce academy players. I would say he's perfect for a squad role, he's inconsistent but does have natural quality which usually will mean a burst of good form once or twice a season. He can also play in a variety of shapes and positions. If he's happy to play such a role we should keep him, there's always a game or two a season which he will be a match winner (Saints, Malmo) or match saviour (United). OneMoSalah 8,886
A mixed bag. I can see arguments for keeping or selling come next summer as hes at an age where he should be deciding/affecting games more. Connor Gallagher is nowhere near ready for even being considered a squad member either....
the wes 7,212
Barkley most inconsistent player in the squad since Oscar Johnnyeye

He is usually bad or average. He had good pre seasons and October last year when he scored 3 goals and had 3 assist. Was nominated for player of the month back then. Besides that maybe two or three good performances. the wes
Fernando 6,585
Him in starting 11 is a waste. I think he will go the way of giroud. A good player to have as a super sub. But not starting 11 material. quickpassnmove and the wes

You need to play him as no 10 which mean your left winger need to be more like Barkley and Willian and your midfield need to be very2 solid. quickpassnmove 924
CHO being healthy all season with Mount and a 3rd player means Barkley probably won't be starting. Despite Pulisic's shortcomings and physical weakness, Christian probably offers more in the box while we do still have Pedro. Barkley is going to end up outside the PL IMO. Moving downward. robsblubot 3,595
He’s a good player who is a poor pk taker. It happens... should refrain from taking them. Problem solved.
!Hazard! 3,394
I dont think he was that bad tbh. But why the hell was he taking the pen? Jorginho is one of the best penalty takers right now NikkiCFC

LAM09 7,056
Another weird decision by him. He's scored in all the shootouts we've had, so Lampard obviously believes he's the most reliable.Joringho's style isn't one that encourages you (final against City).
