And next year the one midfielder that couldn't get in to the starting spot will ask to leave. And we are back to where we started.

Sure. Plenty of other top clubs manage to keep a high quality competitive squad but for Chelsea it's an absolute myth I guess.

Naahhh, this is not the issue.

Why would we keep wasting million of pounds on the bench when they could be in the bank ?

Abramovich is a businessman and he is managing the club like he is managing his business.

If we're wanting to buy a "solid" squad player, why the hell are we spending £40m on this one-season wonder, when we could be going for myriad other players who are far more effective and would fetch a lesser price? Nonsensical.

That Chalobah lad at Watford would fit the bill.

Chalobah wanted to leave and play regular football. Not hard to comprehend.

It seems the rumour about him is dead now. Great.

I don't think so .

We will sign him .

Matt law says "talks ongoing "for drinkwater.

He will be  fine for bench warmer

Doesn't guarantee we will sign him, even if the talk is true though. Krychowiak is more possible at the moment, imo. Cheaper as well, and we're the favorite as we're not in the City-PSG boycott club list, if I'm not mistaken.
