You completely missed the point, mate. Im just laughing that his inside source seems to be really unpredictable. Sometimes he can produce "world exclusive" news, like Yokohama as the new main sponsor, but can also produce a rumor about a player having medical.

Barkley is out for six weeks, and don't think we're really after him though. It seems the only CM who is close now is double D. If we manage to get him around 25m, I would not complain. Better than nothing.

Does anyone else feel sad that it's coming down to this? Having to get bodies in purely for the sake of having bodies as opposed to getting in players of top quality to strengthen the team.

£40m for Deinkwater is about as laughable as £45m for Siggurdson.

Think about the class of player you could've bought just a few short years ago for this amount. Staggering how out of control things have gotten.

Not when they're bankrolled by actual countries like City and PSG. They've literally got infinite money.

But smaller, midtable sides like Everton being able to spend £45m on an average player or small clubs like Southampton or Leicester being able to ask tens of millions for their players now is the most staggering thing.

In order to compete for the title in the PL going forward you'll almost be required to spend mega money every summer.

Oh come on...I agree money fees are getting more and more ridiculous.

But do you know that around turn of century Betis and Lazio paid ridiculous fees for players? Betis broke world record for Denilson, they paid more money for him than Inter for Ronaldo9. And Lazio bought Crespo and Mendieta for around 40m euros each, unbelievable scenes. 

But look at Lazio and Betis after...they ultimately failed with their attempts to be super clubs.

You know funniest thing however, there is more money in football than ever, specialy in PL. Everton can probs afford to pay 100m plus every summer from now on. However we act like we have same or even less money than 10 years ago lol. Its obvious that on long term, we wont be competitive anymore if we insisit with same strategy. I agree we shouldnt be throwing money away just like that, but we will simply have to spend more if we want players that can make difference.

Well, that's what happens when you try to buy players so late in the transfer window. Also, we should never have sold before getting a replacement first.
