Jase 43,479
Gotta pray that he's actually back okay and not we're trying to rush him back. Last thing we need is him having a more serious injury. El P., Fernando and OneMoSalah

He was patient with Hazard but he had a worse injury fair enough but even then I have a feeling Conte might risk Morata even if he’s not ready because the alternative options aren’t great. It could be a bad move or maybe Spain just shat the bed regarding the injury and it’s nowhere near as bad as they thought. Anyway all I know is we need Morata back fully fit and in the team. Blusan Alamb 295
I don't want him in the starting line-up against Roma. He deserves more recovery time.
Blue Armour 4,439
Do we really to risk Morata against Roma at home? Just not sure atm.... Am thinking we should go for a false 9 with Hazard up front...but never know how these things pan out. Fernando
Jase 43,479
Appreciate that Morata willing to put himself about and don't want to criticize him too much since he just came back from injury and is still new to the league etc but could really do with him getting stronger on the ball and not do any of the silly stuff that Costa used to do - getting into the little tussles, looking more interested to win fouls etc. Should focus on what he does best. On a side note, wonder what is he thinking about the "nonsense" quality he's seeing at the club. Played with some of the best players at Real Madrid and Juventus and then there are a whole of bunch of duds here.

zakhov 253
Feels like back to square one since he came back from injury. During the Stoke and Atleti games he showed great strength and power in holding the ball up and linking up, looks like after the injury he'll need to find his feet again. Bosnian Blue 2,471
Someone let him know this is no Spanish league.. FFS he is falling over every time a player touches him. kellzfresh
Tomo 21,751
He's clearly not fully fit. Rest him for Everton, bring him off the bench vs Bournemouth and Roma and hopefully he will be ready for United. the wes and SadistChicken
BlueLyon 9,359
He is definately way too soft and his finishing is realy inconsistent. Scores some beautiful goals, but misses simple ones. He definately has good technique and channels realy well, but will need to bulk up/get more agressive if he wants to dominate this league. But he had few injuries too, he will improve once he gets to play few months in a row. kellzfresh

I don't think the problem is necessarily physical fitness, but rather match fitness. He needs more minutes to sharpen his all-round game. Besides, I can never trust Batshuayi as a starter. The more minutes he gets, the sharper he will come. I think Conte will bench him for Everton and may bring him on for Bats later on for more sharpness but would expect to see him starting against Bournemouth. Especially considering Conte wasted no time in throwing him in the team against Roma and Watford. Blue Armour

After michy performance against palace, it is hard to blame Conte not to play Morata from the start against roma. Stats

Special Juan 28,141
He did my head in on Saturday, a really weak and poor performance. In this league he has to expect he is going to get bashed around, no time for sitting on your arse and throwing hands in the air.
coolhead23 1,147
Feel the issue with Morata is adaptability, he needs to come out of Spain and adapt to the English game. Someone rightly pointed about inconsistency which will play a big part unless you dont adapt. Also for me Morata is not a one man striker he needs cover either from a second striker or from a no 10/attacking mid so that he can combine to get the best (like how they did with Hazard) ... we can come up with Bats - Morata with Hazard as the no 10. Bats can be the work horse while Hazard & Morata be the pure forwards
gadget 126
Agree with most he needs to accept the physical side of the English game, frustrating seeing him all the floor most of the time. Im sure he's said this in previous interviews so he knows where to work which is positive. Ironic that his best PL game was again 'notoriously' aggressive Stoke

I think he's still got that La Liga/Real Madrid mentality where they get preferential treatment and get a whistle with every niggling touch. Its abundantly clear that referes have been briefed that Morata goes down really easily to try to get whistles. He's got to learn this and adapt mentally rather than physically. Drogba was the same when he first arrived if my memory serves me right. He still had the tendency to go down too easily later in his career, but he learned and improved on this aspect after his first season. Let's hope Morata goes the same way.
