If we get a half decent proposal for him, we should seriously sell him. Use maatsen when needed. Otherwise rotate between the Emerson, azpi and Reece for the 2 fb position. Anyone but him.

No need half decent proposal, he can go for free for all I care as far as there’s a new employer is willing to pay his salary.

Real offered 45m euro (I think it was euros, might have been pounds)in summer 2018. Marina told them £50-55m (need to look it up). Insanity.

That was the last rites for him as a Chelsea player last night if Emerson is out it's going to be Dave and Reece as full backs. I don't want to be to hard on the geezer but he's a liability and is one bad performance away from becoming a boo boy. Decent wing back awful left back.

I still think the same not good for starting 11 but good for sub.

Imagine yesterday when you use a sub like Alonso for last few minutes.

He is good to have for attack. But defending he is the worst. That is why I would use him as a sub to come in for a goal.

Chelsea fear Marcos Alonso’s form result of signing lucrative long-term deal

https://metro.co.uk/2019/12/04/chelsea-fear-marcos-alonsos-form-result-signing-lucrative-long-term-deal-11268352/?ito=newsnow-feed

Chelsea fear Marcos Alonso’s performances have dropped because he was given a new long-term deal last year, reports say. Alonso has fallen down the pecking order at Chelsea under Frank Lampard, with Emerson Palmieri and natural right-back Cesar Azpilicueta ahead of him at left-back. Lampard is eager to strengthen at left-back and the Athletic claim figures in Chelsea’s camp are concerned Alonso’s sudden drop off in form was a result of his new contract in October 2018. The deal secured Alonso’s future at Chelsea until 2023 and is worth £100,000-a-week.

The suggestion is Alonso’s motivation has been diminished since he was given the improved contract. Alonso was dropped from Lampard’s starting eleven after he was substituted at half-time in a 4-4 draw Ajax and has failed to make the squad for Chelsea’s last three Premier League matches. ‘I have selection choices in different positions. We need a squad,’ Lampard said of Alonso’s exclusion from the squad.

Think the contract and change in formation has fucked him indeed.

First season, despite his lack of pace, he was very good as was Moses (who surprised a lot of people on here undoubtedly).

Us not getting Alex Sandro and one of Kyle Walker or Antonio Candreva (tried and trusted for Contes Italy in that role at times) in the summer or Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in January (not certain he would of been best fit for us at RWB enitrely but did do the job for Arsenal relatively well) kind of left us behind in those wing/full back positions.

I dont think Marcos was ever Conte's first choice (like Luiz) but he came in first year, did very well and then started well the next seasom before going to shit. Id be really surprised if he is still here next season, especially if one of Chillwell/Gaya is signed. Selling Emerson to Juve is another reoccurring rumour but I do hope we keep him although in the past 2 months or so a new contract has been continously mooted and fuck all has happened with that. Juve have followed him since he was at Roma so long standing interest is defos there.

I genuinely think that is what caused us to drop down after 2017, and what we are still struggling to this day. It was clear as day, even in our 2017 title win, that Alonso and Moses needed to be upgraded on.

City got Walker, Danilo, and Mendy before August.

We got Zappacosta on deadline day.

Inter could struggle to seal Alonso deal

Antonio Conte is keen on a reunion with Chelsea fullback Marcos Alonso at Inter Milan.

While the Spaniard is keen on a return to Italy, there is a problem. Namely, his £100,000-a-week wages and a contract that runs to 2023, according to Goal.

Inter keen on Chelsea left-back Alonso as Pedro & Giroud could also leave in January

FFS:rant:

Marina with these FUCKED UP contracts making it bloody hard to dump the turds out of the bowl like Donkeywater, Donkeybakayoko, and Donkeyalonso

Alonso NEVER should have been fucking renewed and wages upped, his arse should have been SOLD when Real offered £45m (50m euros at that time)!

that fucking old smoker Sarri GASLIGHTING all of Europe, saying he was close to the best left back in the continent! It was all BULLSHIT, one big con job by that fraud

we need too just eat a portion of his wages and get £30m up front

take that 30m and add only 3.5 million more and BOOM

you have Telles release clause, and we get him NOW, in January

then, in the summer, sell Emerson to Juve (who have wanted him badly for 2 years now)

we can get the same £30m or so

then Chillwell will only cost £40m to £50 net

so for only 45 to 55m or so quid NET total spend (hell make if 60m just in case we sell cheaper and it still is crazy good business for us waiting so fucking long to pull the trigger)

we have

Chilwell

Alex Telles

as our LB's

bang the fuck on MASSIVE UPGRADE, set for years

Enough is enough – Chelsea parting ways with their £24m star would the ideal outcome for all. Why Chelsea must get rid of Marcos Alonso in January.

https://soccersouls.com/why-chelsea-must-get-rid-of-marcos-alonso-in-january/

The Sun suggests that Chelsea outcast Marcos Alonso could be on his way out of Stamford Bridge in January with Inter Milan and Juventus preparing to bid for him.

The former Real Madrid Castilla player moved to Chelsea from Fiorentina in 2016 for £24m. He established himself as the first-choice under Antonio Conte and was used on many occasions by Maurizio Sarri during the Italian’s one-year spell as Chelsea manager.

Alonso, 28, has made over 100 appearances for the Blues in his three and a half years at Stamford Bridge. He was very successful in his first two seasons with the club. Later on, after the arrival of Emerson Palmieri, his position was clearly in danger.

This season, the Spaniard has featured in only 7 Premier League games and is finding it hard to convince Chelsea boss Frank Lampard for a regular place in the starting XI. He has become an outcast under Lampard.

Chelsea, who were successful in their appeal against the ban imposed on them by FIFA, are targeting Leicester City’s growing talent Ben Chilwell, according to the report. And if this signing happens to be successful, Alonso would find himself further down the pecking order.

At the moment, Emerson is considered to be the first choice for this spot under Lampard. In recent times, the Blues boss has deployed club captain Cesar Azpilicueta in the left-back position. Azpilicueta seems to have lost his place on the opposite side to fast-developing academy graduate Reece James.

Chelsea make ‘shock demand’ of €35m for January sale – Granovskaia ‘has no intention of making concessions’

http://sportwitness.co.uk/chelsea-make-shock-demand-e35m-january-sale-granovskaia-no-intention-making-concessions/

There appears to be some confusion as to how much Chelsea are asking for Marcos Alonso in the Italian media.

On Wednesday, we covered an article from FC Inter News claiming the Stamford Bridge side, via Marina Granovskaia, wanted around €25m.

Inter, who didn’t want to pay that much, were hoping for a loan first for the second half of the season, paying €2m up front with the right to buy the player outright later on for €18m, with negotiations said to be underway.

Fast forward to Thursday, and Gazzetta dello Sport agree with the last bit (about the Serie A side wanting a temporary deal), but the information they have about Chelsea’s demands is very different.

The Italian newspaper explain Granovskaia ‘has no intention of making concessions’, and after some opening probing from Inter, the ‘shock demand’ was of €35m.

At that price, it’s said there is little chance of a deal getting done, with the Italians preferring a paid loan with a view to buy at the end, ‘but at a much lower cost’.

That would fall in line with what FC Inter News reported, so there seems to be some agreement there, but Chelsea’s exact demands are still a bit confused.

Either way, it’s more than what Inter are willing to put on the table for now.

we spent £24m on Alonso (transfermarkt updates for current FOREX conversion rates, so it gets tricky doing historical trackbacks), and we fucking turned down (GRRRRRRRRR) £45m from Real in summer 2018 (Marina said 55m or no deal!!!)

Inter can fuck off if they only want to pay £16.9m (20m euros at current FOREX rates)

35m euros is £29.6m

which is a fair price

I might go to 30m euros (£25.3m) just to get it done, hell make it 29.6m euros (25m quid on the nose, just so Inter can not get butthurt over paying 30m euros)

fucking Marina

the way Serie A goes, and the way Conte rolls, Inter will get a good 3 and a half years (or more) out of him at left wing back, as pace never mattered with him, and he will maintain his skills until he is at least 32. Candreva is 33 in 2 months, and he has had a rejuvenation under Conte, he still looks pretty sharp at right WB.
