credit to Andre for not losing his shit. Great to see him still be a part of the team even though he's not playing much.

People seem to forget that Schurrle has been ill recently, which is why he hasn't been playing and even when he did, he wasn't at 100%.

This may sound ridiculous but I felt the turning point in the game was when he charged up the pitch on the left hand side and drew a player away. After that we cranked up the pressure and broke them.

JT does NOT like Tottenham. He will sometimes even do things that don't look physically possible to not see us lose against them:

This was at WHL. Walked down the tunnel past their fans shouting 'trophies' and pretending to lift one.

Haha, yeah I remember that!

"I think I like them Tottenham lot as much as they like me!" Think that was a couple of years ago.

There was that and then Lamps pointing to the Champions badges at home to Liverpool or Spurs or some other pile of rubbish. Those two always stick in my mind.

Fookin legend that man. Heart of a lion too and doesn't even hesitate to put his body on the line if there is even a slightest chance it will benefit his team. That seal dive when playing for England comes to mind and most recently in our loss to Atletico when he just threw himself at a rebound IIRC. If there is a chance I want him to properly lift the CL trophy for us as the Captain of a winning final.

It does amaze me how Terry has kept going.

I know our defence is offered a lot of protection by Matic, but he doesn't make the mistakes Cahill does. His judgement is still more accurate than most and he's adapted his game to accommodate for his age. It helps he was never blessed with pace, it means he can keep going how he always has done without age being too much of a factor.. Not only that, but his fitness is incredible. Other fans note it too, a die-hard United fan who goes to my university says it and respects it.

best thing he did recently was to retire from international football

Seriously though, Chelsea needs to give him a multi year contract, because cahill nor zouma is ready to take over and unless chelsea gets varane or someone else, than it should be a no brainer.

Lampard was an easy decision, but JT is not imo.

I'm a little depressed that it's his birthday to be completely honest. 34 already, it's a bitter reminder that "the captain of captains" might not be on the pitch much longer. I'm not ready for that at ALL!

Some player's are freaks that last longer than the norm like Giggs and Maldini, I actually think JT is another of them.

Look at the rest of our golden generation, Carvalho started declining at 30, Lamps after the double season, Anelka, Cole and Malouda likewise yet Terry is still playing to such a high level.

For as long as he maintains this level he will be our first choice CB regardless of how old he is.
