Sod off to Citeh then Pep........Who needs ya !!!!!!! You took the easy option and a transfer kitty of £350,000,000 should make it very easy. But this is the Premiership and as seen this season, anyone can beat anyone. So all the pressure will be on you to make it look easy.

You were never going to come to Chelsea...........We're too big for you mate

Sack our greatest ever manager against the supporters' wishes and put him in prime position to sign for another direct rival.

"Greatest ever manager" led us to one point off relegation. The fact that he was sacked against the wishes of the supporters should also serve as proof that what the majority of our supporters want isn't always what's best for this club. ( keep that in mind for Terry's contract situation)

Since he's been sacked we've gone undefeated and picked ourselves up again, so the decision to sack him was the right one despite it being against the wishes of the supporters.

After the 5-1 FA cup win, its been one piece of shitty news followed by the next. Terry not being given an extension, and City confirming Pep's arrival. Granted, he was always going there, but I was hoping we wouldn;t hear more until the end of this crappy season. Next we'll probably hear United confirming Mourinho, and then we can go back to the shitty seasons were the two Manchester teams duke it out while we watch and provide comic relief.

Seriously people need to understand that we don't really need a manager with a big name to compete for the title. Chelsea has quality players already. Just because we have one very bad season doesn't mean we are miles behind Spurs, Liverpool, Arsenal and City.

Exactly - look at RANIERI :) nobody would have predicted that :)

It's not a given that Pep will be a massive success at Man City as Klopp and L.V.G are finding out. Extremely physical league no Malaga away but possibly Middlesbrough away so slight football and cultural difference there. Am I the only one who finds Pep a bit of a slimy bastard?. When he's been interviewed by our brown nosing media someone will have to come with a mop and bucket afterwards as it will be like an oil slick.

Anyone who thinks Pep will fail or be found out in England are in for a very rude awakening.

Saying he just takes easy jobs is just clutching at straws, for a start even if he does, his incredible work at Barca has earned him the right to do that for the rest of his career.

Also if we are going to use that argument against him, then we could say Fergie stuck to the "easier" environment at United instead of challenging himself elsewhere or abroad in places he wouldn't have total control, in conclusion the "easy" argument is baseless.

Only silver lining for us is he will probably only be there three years, but in that time he will probably win two titles, if not all three.

I don't think we are ever in the running for guardiola.  Our squad is designed to play for mourinho,  a completely different manager in terms of how he want his team to play.

Imho, his choice is either arsenal or city. With Wenger is still with arsenal,  city is his best choice

The challenge of the PL will be a curious one for Pep. No establishment in the PL any more. With the current money clubs are in line to receive, you can already see how up to 7 teams can claim a good stake in their running to the league.

That being said, if anyone needs any further proof of the brilliance of the individual then I guess let's strap up for the ride huh? Of course there's going to be an adjustment period, which is the best chance for clubs to take points and deal damaging blows to Pep's debut season. So we better hire appropriately!

After that, I've no doubt Guardiola's City will probably be among the cream of the crop in England and Europe at some point but that's usually when Chelsea decide to shake up the status quo and do some heavy investment. If Roman was 'willing' to give Pep and empty cheque book, he better be filling those cheques for some truly outstanding, world class. players.

I don't think you can compare most of the small Spanish and German teams to the likes of Stoke, West Ham, Southampton and Leicester. That's why PL is the toughest league in Europe. Pep managing City is his toughest challenge yet. And Pep isn't that great, he still hasn't won the Champions League with that juggernaut that is Bayern Munich.

What I was implying was how good he is at trashing small teams. In the Champions League he's not as good.

But trust me, only parking the bus will stop all those Southamptons  and stokes from winning a Guardiola possession team.

Where he'll have problems are against the big teams (Us, manutd, Arsenal, Liverpool and tottenham, maybe Leicester)  the rest will be easy.

I find it really funny on this forum when people have a go at United, or say that we must absolutely prevent Arsenal or Liverpool from winning the title...only to reserve a soft spot for City by likening them to a kindred spirit...

City have emerged as the biggest threat to Chelsea in the past 5 years, and also stand a chance of eclipsing whatever we have achieved in the past decade..

In fact, off the pitch they might have already overtaken us...the only reason why they haven't achieved as much on the pitch so far is probably because they were not fortunate to have an established core like Terry, Lampard...and now we seem to be carelessly giving up that as well.
