In Jose we trust, was seen here just about 2 months ago. Now, folks are in doubt about his lineups ?

In my view, it´s too early to tell what he´s gonna do. One thing, I know for sure Jose ain´t infallible as we all thought.

The summer transfers are the biggest shortcomings on this team, I feel.

Two good players were shipped out, but two meaningless signings were brought in.

Patience is needed here. Come December, we may see drastic changes on the team, I hope.

Jose always had plenty of money at his disposal to buy top players. The cream of the crop & he won with them. When he won PL with Chelsea Roman spent around 150m on players. Those days, the other teams were no match, then. Today, plenty of teams bought players & are even better equipped than Chelsea. Let´s see how Jose deals with it.

You can go on about the team needing time to gel and stuff but a loss to a side like Basel in such an embarrassing way is not acceptable at all. Even at our lowest of lows we should manage to beat them, even if it means relying on a moment of genuine class from one of our players (which the likes of Hazard and Oscar should be capable of).

A side like Basel? They put on a better performance than anyone in the PL would 90% of the time. There is absolutely no shame in loosing to a side that played as well as Basel did yesterday. Very disappointing, but not at all embarrassing.

Then he proved it in Italy, but partially failed at Real. Success has been very generous to him, but as I said moneybag owners came by & suddenly Jose has a real challenge ahead of him.

They got a build team already and that team is a very psychical side just like his old Chelsea.

And we should have gotten someone like Pellegrini as our team is young in construction and needed of a philosophy. A philosophy that is that of an attacking coach, something Roman wants.

At this point I'm not sure what we will get.

I'm actually worried that Mourinho counter attacking mentality is not suited for the players we got. A good manager is supposed to bring the best out of your players and Mata our best players for the last two season is now total useless.......

Completely disagree. Basel in the first half were nothing short of brilliant. They kept their shape, defending incredibly well and didn't put a foot in wrong. In the second half they had go forward and leave spaces at the back and they made the most of their chances unlike us. Fair play to them for trying to get the second goal after the equalizer instead of just sitting back to defend a point.

It's going to be painful at times but supporting a football team isn't all about glory and gloating to your mates. It's hard at times, something that a lot of people probably aren't aware of because for the last 20 years we've been on an upwards trajectory.

We have one of the best coaches in the world. People need to stop expecting miracles overnight.

And people don't need to paint Basel as this amazing side who did anything remotely special. They just new their jobs. Our players are still learning their roles and mistakes will happen. With practice and time the execution of these ideas should improve, but it's going to be a bumpy ride.

Yes it will be a rollercoaster for a while and ignoring specific issues with the formation, players and manager (and there are several), we are where we deserve to be because of shoddy planning at more senior levels.
