I actually agree with your point about the david beat goliath, against all odds factor. munich was one of my greatest nights as a supporter however, the point regarding the quality of football we played still stands even though I hate to agree with that cunt Xavi.

What was incredible in that Chelsea run was that eventhough Chelsea were defending deep, it wasn't a great defensive display like Inter who were master at closing space and passing angles.

In the final, in the first 15 minutes, Bayern had already three good chances to open the score, two very good one for Gomez.

And Robben was in good positions many times but decided to do clay shooting that day.

To have such good fortune during thee matches was defying the odds.

Talk about entertaining football, I'll tell you my feelings. We've played some of our most entertaining football in the last few years back in October and the last couple of weeks. And we beat important teams in the process. I don't care if City outplayed us, we won (I'm not even sure they outplayed us tbh, but that seems to be the consensus). We beat Liverpool, we could have beat Arsenal if we didn't waste ALL the many chances we had (I'm not complaining about the draw though).

We're still under development and we already played some entertaining matches. The last 40 minutes against Southampton were VERY entertaining. And maybe that's the difference, entertaining doesn't need to be beautiful footie. I just remember my feelings watching some of our matches this season and while we weren't anywhere close to Bayern last season (and this one) or Barça a few years back, I still had a great time watching us. For me that's enough. I want to sit to watch my team, have a good time doing it, enjoy our players, our display, and hopefully also have the result. Sometimes though as in a SF or F in an important tournament or a match that could give us the EPL title where the only thing I care about is the result. No championship is made of one match or a couple of them. If we somehow win the EPL this season, I'll be happy with the result, but I'll also be happy with many matches we've played. If we don't win, I'll continue to be happy with those same matches I've enjoyed watching.

I'm quite happy with our past accomplishments, we needed luck to win UCL (who doesn't?), but we've won it, and I'm happy in this place we currently are now and I'm absolutely excited about the very realistic prospects this group of players, this manager and the two clinical signings (that we all know are a CM/DM and a ST) will give us.

There seems to be some general consensus to over-rate City full stop, they haven't ran away with one title yet they are "by far" the best team in the league

We were full value for our lead at half time against City, if anything it should have been more, the suggestion we got outplayed that game is laughable.

We are 3rd in the league, performing better with every match, still in the Champions League, still in the FA Cup, havent been beaten by any of the so called top teams.

Sentiments aside KDB & Mata are not as good as Oscar, Hazard and Willian. If they want to leave rather than stay and battle for a place its up to them.

KDB has had chances and failed to impress. He obviously doesn't have the mentality to deal with being left out at a big club

Mata doesn't do enough defensively, he tries but sometimes trying isn't enough.

What good is it for the club? We get rid of the players that don't suit Jose's team style and get in ones that do. I love Mata but he doesn't fit in this current team

for me, football is a game of 2 teams consisting of 11 players each. u win if u score more goals than your opposition. who the fuck cares how we did it??

That is the beauty of this sport. Each person decides what is "good football". Some will love the Tiki Taka, while others will prefer a deadly counter attack team, etc...

mata offers us options if we need to change the game ,,for that reason he is invaluable even on the bench ... Bushman is just trolling ..

I prefer to WAIT and see what happens and I havent given up on KDB either
