The Mourinho Thread

I - as a fan - use we when I talk about Chelsea.

I don't think he takes credit that isn't his. In his interview when arriving in the club he said he didn't do anything to play the SuperCup against Bayern that that was all on the players and the previous manager. How much humbler than that does it get? I think you're being a bit harsh on him, mate.

Also why would he keep mentioning we won UCL. Everyone knows that. He doesn't mention all the time he won it with Inter and much less Porto...

I guess my gripe is that he seems to not know what wining the CL and the El in the last two seasons actually meant in terms of the new history the club is making. Even if the Europa league is not the competition that we compete in year after year. It would not hurt to let hat abide it because of what winning it does for us in the grand scheme of things. All that comment he made does seem to be a swipe at Rafa and trying to downplay it because he was not the one who was a part of it.

Did you remember that fully? he clearly stated and acknowledged that Roberto was the manager in that moment.

Was still cringewothy that he kept using the word we, as though he was part of it, to me its nothing more then to try and use sassy talk into fans ears to get the swooning over him because some people cling on to every word he says.

No, but bringing us to our first Premiership in 50 years, multiple cup winnings, Dominating the league two years in a row, Not losing a home game in the League was a joy.

Mourinho is jealous of nothing Benitez did. Mourinho is twice or three times the manager Benitez ever will be. Winning the Europa League wasn't a major achievement for the club, because we didn't want to be in it in the first place.

Also, we got knocked out of TWO European Semi Finals under Jose, hardly repeatedly, and if we only win the Europa League game, just as Jose stated, it will be a big disappointment, a disappointment that we were in it again.

Two semi-finals an the last round of 16.

At the end of the day winning a major trophy is still something to feel good about. So I interpret his comments as nothing more then a half-dig at Rafa and a bit of sour grapes that Rafa took us to a major European final, otherwise he might as well as belittle all the Fa cup finals we won because its not as prestigious as something like the Premier league.

I seem to remember when we won the final how everyone was pleased and proud about how winning the competition .put us into an elite group to have won all major European trophies (and knowing that because we are unlikely to compete in the Europa league for the next few years), now all of a sudden because Jose says that winning the Europa league is a disappointment because its not the Champions league everyone is going to look at that day with disappointment?

This thread was having a nice discussion going on with people with different opinions sharing them in a civilized manner. Don't try and spoil it with idiotic comments like that which comes across as nothing more then trying to start some kind of flame war.

well i know how these civilized discussions end with u... i have been down this road and burned big time... plus what are u arguing about? jose was signed one and a half month ago, we have yet to play a pre-season match with him, and the only thing he has done is try to get a strong squad for the up coming season which he already has by some good signings and trust in youth. so as i see it U r still pissed with the signing of MOU due to some stupid personal thing and are gonna use the same old arguments agaisnt him.

Absolutely no need for that.

Because someone has a different opinion to you does not make them intellectually inferior.

what is the point of his opinion at the moment. he was arguing about the same points when we signed mou, we have not played a single match yet, have build up a strong squad with good signings and by putting trust in the youth players and he is STILL cribbing about jose using the word WE in his first interview... what sense is their in that argument???

plus even if he bloody hates mou(which is very weird for a chelsea fan), today is the first match and the start of something that can be so awesome , how can some1 still continue to ridicule him. he is doin it just to get quotes and some attention. as straigth as that.
