The Mourinho Thread

Like kdb?

Just wrote a longish reply to this which has been gobbled up by the system. I'm watching the 21s at the moment but I'll try to do it again later.

By the way Charlie Colkett is once again enhancing my view that he is very much one to watch. Love the way he plays football. Mind you I remember saying the same about KDB while at Genk. We lead 3-0 at half time btw.

More when I can.

just ignored a couple of Simeone lovers here :D .. I'm loving the peace

Lol I do apologise for constantly turning this into a Mourinho v Simeone thread but I feel the need to address suggestions that Simeone is as conservative (or as vulnerable to conceding) as Mourinho in the big games and that Mourinho's CL SF record is just bad luck.

I have examples of managers going for more and coming unstuck.

I don't doubt you do and nobody is asking Mourinho to be all gung-ho about it. Just a little more courage, a little more adventure and a little less fear would go a long way in these ties.

Lol, I can't believe people are actually talking about sacking Mourinho.

Name one better manager in Chelsea's history...Some of you are so fickle.

The worst is considering currently Pep better than current Mourinho... sorry..., I may ignore the Simeone love - as someone else did - but the Pep argument is completely invalid. He DESTROYED that Bayern team, absolutely destroyed it. It came from the best team in the world by a very long distance to being spanked by RM (who they normally spank themselves)... they look nothing like the Jupp team - which was nearly unplayable. God's sake, didn't City beat them twice in one year?

If Mourinho destroyed a team like that I'd love to know what some fans enticed by the neighbor's grass would say.

They pile up excuses for their 'fave' and nitpick and judge Mourinho for everything...

Mou is one of the very best. He makes teams, as they say, Pep inherits them.

I do think his lack of silverware and his RM spell still haunts him, though. He doesn't look quite as ambitious anymore when it comes to lineups/subs.

Wouldn't have any other manager, though. @Barbara

Considering his closest friend died during that week it was difficult to prepare the match, he is pretty much doing better that Jupp in every terms, this season is his second, judge his european record now.

If he just carried on the same way the squad could have got too comfortable and stagnated.

Also Bayern winning the treble doesn't make the job easier for Pep, if anything it makes it harder, how do you convince a bunch of player's who have just won everything to not only go again but to buy into new ideas?

1) I think you didn't read the news about what Tito's wife said about her late husband's 'closest friend' (didn't even talk to Pep); 2) a team that good wouldn't be spanked in two separate legs because of that. 3) There's no comparison between the football that Bayern played and Pep's. Dortmund weakened a lot, there's no strong team in Germany to compare to them. Of course, changes were expected, but he destroyed the team. It doesn't matter what they're winning, but how they went from amazing football to a whole mess in like what? 5 months?

As I said, the excuses for the grass in the neighbor's pile up.

All that said... I'm really fed up with José comments about the support. He should shut the heck up and get the team to continue to produce results. He has no business talking anything - except praise - about support. I'm really disappointed by him this term. Stubborn, late reactions, ultra pragmatic at times and talking shit about those who are way bigger than he'd ever be.

He's really begging us to start to wonder. I'm not supporting 'sack Mourinho', but I'm really not that supportive of him as I used to be, he's saying and doing a lot of BS imo - which I normally have a lot of patience with, but the support thing is impossible to ignore.

Also the idea of just because the team just played some of the best football in the world, means they can do it again. Barca 10-11, one of the best club team in football history...knocked out by us a year later with our worst team in a decade and Real Madrid won the league too. Even if Bayern do win every single trophy this season, no guarantee they will do it again with Pep or someone else next year.

All great teams come to an end at some point, or at least not as good as they WERE at a certain period of time. Therefore all the argument of Pep destroying Heynckes team is not that valid imo. Who to say Madrid wouldn't have still fucked Bayern has Jupp was still in charge.

a word of advice from a friend ,, Dont listen to his Press Conferences ,,, Take ALL his comments with a bucket full of salt

( well at least more than a pinch ) and just judge by what you see on the pitch ..

Guys u are talking rubbish. This weak league has 4 CL spot, dortmund trashed arsenal with their A Team( 2nd replay they played half B team).

And if u remember last Year ,Dortmund should have knocked out Real Madrid, just this Mkihrtrreyan missed 100% Chances.

Also remember 10 Men Bayern + 2 Youngster in match with has no purpose dominated Manchester City ( Current Champion) and make them look like fools. Just tiredness and 2 huge mistakes made aguero score.
