The fact that they failed to do so this time has more to do with fatigue than it does with them taking their foot off the gas. They don't play two a week often at all!

That may have affected them against Man City but on the other hand, if you watch the game, you'll see how ridiculous stand-offish they were on Wednesday. Gave City all the time and space to pick a pass, turn and run towards goal and there were hardly any challenges especially for the goals.

They have actually, at least in the last few derbies anyway. They have beaten Newcastle in their last 3 league games, a huge improvement compared to the solitary win in 16 matches before that.

By now anyone with half a brain would have recognised that the comment in bold is referring to lampard the person rather than lampard the legend which are two totally different things.

He remains a legend because there's no way to erase his accomplishment from the club's history i.e our alltime goal scorer, the trophies he's won etc (Lampard the legend) however his decision to join city has made him very unlikeable and made some fans lose respect for him hence lampard the person. Is it so hard a concept to grasp?.

Even those that have been attacking his legacy still recognise his status as a chelsea legend but are simply saying that status now has asterisk next to it. . . .A legend that betrayed his own fans and went back on his words as oppose to a legend like Drogba, a man of integrity and great character who considers the club and its fans in his football decision making process.

Blowing teams away? The last three games we've won once. Hardly blowing everyone away now are we? Drawing against Sunderland isn't too bad yes and neither is beating Spurs but losing Newcastle away and to be honest looking quite poor in long periods of the Sunderland game, the start of the Spurs game and todays game doesn't exactly convince me that we will blow everyone away.

To be honest I agree with Term-X about Lampard joining City, to me its a bit of a kick in the teeth, its like he went there to prove exclusively to Chelsea he's still good enough when in reality the last 2 years he put in some sub par performances here. If you cared so much about a club and were a legend here, why would you join City who are our direct competition in the title race?

Azplicueta at LB AGAIN is daft and he acknowledged that with his sub. Ivanovic has been a nonentity recently. No Remy is unforgivable especially when it was clear no one was making runs to Hazard's balls into the box. Nothing was learnt from the Sunderland game.

The partiality and favouritism to certain players needs to stop. Luis LB, Azpi RB, more Remy, Costa isn't undroppable when he's having a mare. Ivanovic is far from undroppable. We fans see all these things and don't need a multi-million pound salary to make adequate adjustments.

Football is not a stagnant game. It changes week in week out, and so do opinions. What I said about Mourinho still stands. We're generally playing much better and he's at kept his word on the "evolution" bit.

My comment was about the team selection. I've been hammering that point about Azpilicueta consistently for weeks now, but he's so amazing in one vs one situations, isn't he?
