Styles 9,790
You really think they had the energy to put in that sort of effort against City 3 days later? Come on... City haven't won there in 5 matches before this one.Yeah, they put all their effort into the Chelsea game with no regard for their midweek fixture; I'm pretty sure they won't recover for another week or two. Sunderland don't even put in that kind of effort into the Tyne-Wear derby ffs.
Chelsea Legend 11 4,062
Yeah, they put all their effort into the Chelsea game with no regard for their midweek fixture; I'm pretty sure they won't recover for another week or two. Sunderland don't even put in that kind of effort into the Tyne-Wear derby ffs. Who the fuck cares about the "tyne-Wear" derby? My point is they put in the same amount of effort against us as they do against City, which is supported be the fact they have taken points in 5 of the last 6 games at the stadium of Light. The fact that they failed to do so this time has more to do with fatigue than it does with them taking their foot off the gas. They don't play two a week often at all!

City haven't won there in 5 matches before this one. That may have affected them against Man City but on the other hand, if you watch the game, you'll see how ridiculous stand-offish they were on Wednesday. Gave City all the time and space to pick a pass, turn and run towards goal and there were hardly any challenges especially for the goals.Yeah, they put all their effort into the Chelsea game with no regard for their midweek fixture; I'm pretty sure they won't recover for another week or two. Sunderland don't even put in that kind of effort into the Tyne-Wear derby ffs. They have actually, at least in the last few derbies anyway. They have beaten Newcastle in their last 3 league games, a huge improvement compared to the solitary win in 16 matches before that.
Jase 43,479
The club should just email the media outlets our team news rather than holding press conferences if journalists are going to keep on asking the same old boring questions every single week! iseah100 and iceboy
Fernando 6,743
Serious question. are you this daft or just intentionally playing stupid because i refuse to believe anyone can be this thick.Even after i explained the term in bold you still went on foaming in the mouth.By now anyone with half a brain would have recognised that the comment in bold is referring to lampard the person rather than lampard the legend which are two totally different things. He remains a legend because there's no way to erase his accomplishment from the club's history i.e our alltime goal scorer, the trophies he's won etc (Lampard the legend) however his decision to join city has made him very unlikeable and made some fans lose respect for him hence lampard the person. Is it so hard a concept to grasp?.Even those that have been attacking his legacy still recognise his status as a chelsea legend but are simply saying that status now has asterisk next to it. . . .A legend that betrayed his own fans and went back on his words as oppose to a legend like Drogba, a man of integrity and great character who considers the club and its fans in his football decision making process. But who are city? Are city United? Liverpool or Arsenal?City, a team with few fans and that many people in the world don't care about. So why should it bother me? I would be more hurt if he had joined these guys and say they where the best team in the world and all that shenanigans. By the way didn't Joe Cole said something of that sort when he joined Liverpool? After he left to France he actually helped Chelsea by talking to Hazard about us.So to me what Joe Cole said and did at Liverpool was all diplomatic just like Lampard at City. didierforever
The_Flash 1,144
The fact he was going to this NY club then suddenly 'on loan' at Man City and now they want to pay him to stay it was all set up from the start. City are a direct competitive rival, they are the fucking champions!, and the ONLY rival right now and for the foreseeable future. What's diplomatic about saying you won't join a direct rival, then doing so.. and going on to deny us victory by scoring against us. Lampard is also lightyears ahead of Joe Cole in regards to status at the club and to the fans, so it's a laughable comparison, it really is. Last season they won because we helped them. And that was a Chelsea that was filled with issues. Now we have a much better team and blowing everyone away so it's not a team that strikes fear. Furthermore I keep stating that city are a small team with small fan base that media doesn't give two cents about. Only you and some minority deluded fans in some fourm... So again Lampard has not gone to the most popular club, or to our derby rival like Arsenal. But a small club that no one cares even if they win the title like last year. iseah100

The last three games we've won once. Hardly blowing everyone away now are we? Drawing against Sunderland isn't too bad yes and neither is beating Spurs but losing Newcastle away and to be honest looking quite poor in long periods of the Sunderland game, the start of the Spurs game and todays game doesn't exactly convince me that we will blow everyone away. To be honest I agree with Term-X about Lampard joining City, to me its a bit of a kick in the teeth, its like he went there to prove exclusively to Chelsea he's still good enough when in reality the last 2 years he put in some sub par performances here. If you cared so much about a club and were a legend here, why would you join City who are our direct competition in the title race?
MrExcalibur100 7,124
Terrible. All on him but he'll find away to talk shit and blame somebody else. He should come out and say he selected the wrong players. Azplicueta at LB AGAIN is daft and he acknowledged that with his sub. Ivanovic has been a nonentity recently. No Remy is unforgivable especially when it was clear no one was making runs to Hazard's balls into the box. Nothing was learnt from the Sunderland game. The partiality and favouritism to certain players needs to stop. Luis LB, Azpi RB, more Remy, Costa isn't undroppable when he's having a mare. Ivanovic is far from undroppable. We fans see all these things and don't need a multi-million pound salary to make adequate adjustments. And the fact we looked so clueless after going a goal behind is worrying. The players looked like they didn't know what they were supposed to do. The Chels

It changes week in week out, and so do opinions. What I said about Mourinho still stands. We're generally playing much better and he's at kept his word on the "evolution" bit. My comment was about the team selection. I've been hammering that point about Azpilicueta consistently for weeks now, but he's so amazing in one vs one situations, isn't he?Actually read it before talking nonsensical unintelligible bullshit. I'm not in that mood right now.

Hutcho 8,443
I'm hoping for some Mourinho out posts to make me laugh... Any takers. I'm sure there will be some because you know we lost a game this season which isn't allowed. Should probably spend another 200 mil because the team is not good enough.
