As much as I rate Willian, that is a horrendous goals per minute rate. Maybe him playing right-back most of the time has something to do with that?

Well how do you explain his goal scoring record before his Chelsea career? His goal record is more or less pretty consistent throughout his career though.

Yes, Willian has to cover for Ivanovic but people are acting like he's not given the license to go forward. How many times has Willian got the ball down the right side, only for him to pass backwards to someone else? How many times has Willian tried to do his silly, predictable stepovers and ended up failing miserably at that? This is a player, who despite all the other good work he does for the team, goes completely clueless when he reaches the attacking third. Never mind his poor goal and assist records, he barely even creates the danger in/around the penalty box.

Get a CM and Stones and this could go from being an abysmal transfer window to one of our best ever.

Begovic, Falcao, Baba, Pedro, Stones, and a CM. Fantastic blend of very young players and ones with huge experience at the top level. Every need addressed.

We're set for years with that window.

You`re an idiot.

Why is he an idiot? He speaks sense.

I, too, think that we had to go for a younger, better winger. Maybe even pay a lot more, but get a game changer and excellent quality for a long time. Example: Griezmann. Instead, we buy 27 y/o Barcelona reject (not saying it's a bad thing, Barcelona has high standards as proved by Cesc and Alexis) that is no where near world class qulity, just a good addition (we couldn't do better at this time in the market, so fair play).

We have enough right wingers for 3 teams of them: Willian, Cuadrado, Moses, Traore + Ramires and Remy who can play there + Atsu who is loaned out. None of this player is world class, and our new addition Pedro isn't too. He may be better than them, but he isn't world class. We should aim for world class players, if we want to be world class team. We should've acted on Griezmann, but no, we sitted on our asses the whole summer, his buy-out clause sky-rocketed and now we are panic buying.

Same goes for Stones. He may be the best young English CB, but there are other better & cheaper options than him. Example: Laporte (much better than Stones). What we did? Again, sitted on our asses the whole summer and now those cunts from Everton will milk every penny out of our stupid asses.

I didn't like how we acted in the transfer window this summer.

Dont get mad, mate. I dont see the team winning anything big for the next 4 years, unless something drastic happens. Not my wish, but thats what I believe will happen.

when have Chelsea FC ever rested on their laurels for 4yrs? its a nonsensical comment designed to upset the supporters. Either that or you haven't really been paying attention to Chelsea for very long.

Every action always has a reaction at this club.

The relative lack of goals provided by Oscar and Willian (in particular) becomes a significantly lesser issue if Pedro arrives and performs for us; having 3/4 attacking positions covered by players who are capable of being regular goalscorers should be adequate for our needs. Indeed, having a player such as Oscar or Willian alongside them should allow Costa, Hazard, and Pedro to focus all the more on their attacking responsibilities.

Form aside, Oscar could be used in the games that we are aiming to dominate/games against opponents that sit deep, where his excellent combination-play in the middle-third of the pitch, intelligent off-the-ball movement, and threat from direct free-kicks will be enormously useful to us. Willian could be deployed in the games where we are planning to play as a counter-attacking unit/games against opponents who play in a more open and expansive style, where his pace, ability to recover defensive position, and ability to break through opposition midfield lines can be used to maximum effect.

There is little reason for posters to use Pedro's potential arrival as an(other) opportunity to castigate either Oscar OR Willian for their shortcomings, whether they be real or merely perceived; a player like Pedro might possibly allow us to get the best out of both of them.
