Pedro was a panic buy after poor results and with the transfer dateline date looming, the Board reacted. 

Unfortunately, panic buys are mostly unworthy purchases and Pedro is no exception.

Some have mentioned this before - ask Pedro to play like an actual winger and you will get a very average player. Play to his strengths and you will get a very good player (not saying he's world class or we should build the team around him). He clearly has his strengths. Just need to find a way to exploit it better - executing one-two moves (remember his goal at West Brom?), making use of his off the ball runs (remember that clear cut chance he got against Scunthorpe when Fabregas spotted his run?), creating chances in the box (he's already shown he can finish).

I would have loved someone different then Kennedy because the game is tight....but if we are to bring younger players into the team then this is good.

A very good player in a terrible system. He's getting crowded out running into dead ends and is getting very little support from Azplicueta and Costa. It's very difficult to play that left flank for Chelsea and Willian doesn't even swap anymore, so we rarely get to see what he can do on the right. 

I'm not worried about Pedro. He'll be fine under our real coach next season. Presuming the club doesn't go and fuck it up again.

Agree. It's almost as if we're trying to turn every wide player we sign into another Willian. It's painful to watch Pedro (or others) playing like a winger when he isn't one. That said, someone should have a word with him about keeping things simple more next time. Think sometimes he tries to overdo it a little bit with the whole dribbling and taking on players.

So there are people who believe Pedro is good but is a victim of the system. We need players that will make this team play a good football, instead of players that will be the reason why the team concedes a goal.

Pedro and Matic costed 2 goals. Actually this team is victim of the poor football of those 2 players.

Actually he was CHEAPER than Wright Philips, LMAO. Can you believe it? But yes, he is pretty bad. I'm really surprised many people thought the team was getting a world class player when he was announced. For me he always looked average and for Barcelona, and easily one the most limited players of that Barcelona team. All he got is Barcelona brand in his CV.

People are like Jekyll and Hyde on here. I get he is not playing that well but the majority of the team have been poor as well. I remember when he made his debut here and everyone was so impressed with his performance against WBA and the amount of members who started turning on Willian and stated this is the difference between the two etc and Pedro is twice the player Willian is. Now Willian all of a sudden is most people's favourite.

Willian has been here for a few seasons now and is adjusting to the player we knew he was capable of being. Why not give Pedro the same benefit of the doubt too? He has come to a different culture. He has been use to all his career of playing for a team who has it easy and never been involved in a crisis situation. Even if he comes good by the end of the season or stays poor throughout, I still won't give up on him and will wait for next season under a new manager with hopefully better additions to the squad. Believe me, if the likes of Hazard and co are on top form, Pedro will look amazing.

While he has not been spectacular and on the whole average, he has showed some glimpses of his quality. His goal and assist against WBA in his first game of the season. His assist for Falcao against Palace was quality and his assist for Remy against Leicester was top class.

 

Arsenal bought Ozil for £42m or so right and he has only started to produce now? Remember last season and one before, how many critics he got for not living up to his potential. Now, he seems fully settled it and currently is arguably player of the season.

So with all what I have said, I am willing to give him time to bide in and hopefully he will make some people eat their hats.
