To be honest with myself I have to say that Diego was perfect causing Gabriel`s red card (and Paulista was very very very silly) but Diego was wrong with his behavior / aggressiveness against Koscielny as he has been doing for many months.

I know Diego Costa since he started playing in Spain and he has always been an aggressive / violent player, but with Diego Simeone at Atletico Madrid Diego Costa change his behavior to be a player with aggressiveness / violence but in a smart way and he became (IMO) the best pure forward N. 9 in the world, and it's for that reason that he joined us.

Even in the first months with us Diego Costa continued to be aggressive / violent in a smart way being the best forward in England in the first half of the past season.

But after those first months Diego has lost that smart aggressiveness and he has again become an aggressive player in the negative sense being outside himself, forgetting to play football and devoted exclusively to cause absurd fights and putting us at risk on every play with risk to have one player less on the pitch.

For me Jose has to nip in the bud Diego Costa's behavior and talk to him calmly to explain that he is taking the opposite / negative way. Mourinho has to be forceful with this problem or we will lose the best N.9 in the world.

When Diego Costa is focused on football and he uses his aggressiveness in the good sense to me he is the best No. 9 in the world. If we want to win trophies this season we will need Diego Costa in the best possible conditions. And when he forgets to focus on football Diego becomes in an ordinary player. Jose has to solve this problem right now.

Southampton are a good team. They are badly missing Bertrand though and Soares is not physically strong like Clyne which is why they keep leaking goals. But they are a good team. That is not a walkover.

Newcastle are awful right now but I hate playing them. They always up their game against us and that is when the likes of Sissoko decide to have the game of his lfe against us. They have amazingly beaten us in the last 3 visits. That ground has been a bad omen for us in recent season. Should win on paper but it is one of them games where a surprise is always possible.

Do I condone what Costa did/does? no... But three games for that is excessive. When Wenger pushed Jose he got nothing, when Sanchez took a full swing at Ivanovic he got nothing... When Aguero actually stomped on Luiz he got nothing.... Costa puts his hands in Koscielny's face and get 3 games.

So if I punch someone and break his nose, because its the first time I've done it I get off? Do you understand how stupid that makes you sound? There is a double standard that exists, if its Chelsea punish with impunity, if its an infraction against Chelsea brush it under the rug.

Funnily enough nobody has seen any footage on how Diego Costa actually ended up on the floor when he chest bumped koscielny. All you see is Costa get up and Laurent flop to the ground... Nothing made of the incident that led to that.
