He was certainly poor last season, but in overall game I firmly believe he is the best in the league.

I'm not sold on De Gea personally, pound his goal and he's brilliant, give him a quiet game when he's only called upon a few times I feel he's prone to cocking up and costing points (Croatia in the Euros and Norwich at Old Trafford last season two examples), he's more Cudicini level than Tibo/prime Cech/Van Der Sar in my opinion.

I'm one of De Gea biggest critics. His positioning and footwork are well below par for a supposedly 'one of the best keepers in the world'. Still had a decent season this year. Don't think he has the potential to rise to a higher level than he showed last season.

Batshuayi is promising, but come on, stop with the overhyping. 

Costa was arguably best striker in english and spanish league, Bats was not even best in french league.

If Costa wants out, it will be a big loss for Chelsea. But I dont want unhappy player. Hopefuly he stays. 

On other hand lets wait and see how Bats does in league games and then start talking. If he fails whole forum will be pissed and butthurt because of the overhyping in last few weeks.

The most important thing to note for now is that these kind of situations always happen, at any club.

Even in Chelsea's recent history you'll know that its happened before with Drogba, Lampard and Terry as well...

Drogba wanted out almost soon after he arrived, and he really wanted to leave around the time when Mourinho first left.., there was talk about Lampard to go to Inter Milan to reunite with Jose, and then there was the Terry to Man City saga in 2009.

Granted the Costa saga has now gained more visibility because of people eavesdropping on his conversation with Ramos, but that's just how it is in football. 

Its up to the manager to bring the player back around, by convincing them that things can work out well off the pitch, and more importantly ON it.

i) I said I'd be fine with Costa leaving before it became public that we were interested in Batshuayi.

ii) I said Bats looked the better technician even before we signed him.

iii) My opinion is my opinion. It is right or it is wrong but it has nothing to do with hype.

Bats has better technique, but thats it. It doesnt make him better striker. 

And I didnt point out on yo, just general population of forum. Costa on way out...oh we have Bats anyway who is miles better.

Costa is the ONLY out and out striker that worked here since Drogba arrival. 

Im just saying same people who want Costa out now will be the first to cry why we sold Costa if Bats doesnt succeed (I hope he does regardless of Costa situation). People act like the wind turns these days.

Costa guided Atletico to a La Liga win and imo if he did not get injured in final against Real, I believe they would have won the UCL too. Think he got around 35 goals that season. Next season moved to us and guided us to our first league title for ages. Injuries cost him from getting to 30 imo. Last season he had his flaws however he showed in periods that he could get back to his best. But like I have said before, too many fickle fans on here. The way I see people writing him off and saying he is below to Bats is amazing. Bats is a quality striker but he is still has much to learn. Well whatever people think but the way people constantly change opinions is just crazy.

Cuadrado has a decent performance in a friendly and now so much people changing opinions on him now. LOL. I think he has something to prove but with some people they will slate him to the end and see a good performance in a friendly and use that as evidence to say he is very good all of sudden. Crazy!

I love the geezer but wouldn't be that fussed if he was sold if his replacement wasn't Lukaku but someone like Suarez, Aguero, Lewandowski, maybe even Benzema or Cavani but that isn't the case. I definitely wouldn't sell Costa for Lukaku though. Especially not at £60m/75m whatever it is. He isn't worth that money whatsoever and I don't ever think Lukaku can ever be a top top striker for the club we aspire to be anyway. Think he peaked early and we'll only see marginal changes in his game. Batman is more talented and has a much higher ceiling.

The geezer is not a top top club striker. Do you think he'd be able to fire us to the top of the league like Costa has done for us or Atletico? Nope. He goes missing way too often. He's too limited and his ego is way too big - he thinks he's much better than he is. Funnily enough he doesn't ever seem to fight for his team much either. His off the ball movement is shocking as well in my opinion, Costa is leagues ahead in that term. 

We shouldn't be selling Costa unless we are actually bringing someone better in. And that certainly isn't Lukaku.

If Higuain is worth £75m and Everton want £60m for Lukaku. Than logic will say Costa should not be allowed to leave for anything under £60m.

I've maintained this stance for a couple of months now, maybe even when his bad spell started, so don't slate me when saying this, that I won't be that sad to see the back of Diego. Don't get me wrong, when on form, his liabilities are well hidden and he manages to bully the defence, without actually showing his limited play, but when he has an off day... MY GOD.
The first thing, in my humble opinion, never keep an unhappy player. Guy doesn't want to be here or wants a better team, completely and truly understandable. Pay us a fee of 40-45-50 mil. pounds and well be off on your new adventures. Why keep someone against their will? They don't want to play for you anymore, that's fine. It's normal for a footballer. He has different views, as any other human being and he wants something else or something he used to have, in this case being Atleti. I'd sell him. Ofcourse, not for Lukaku and his ridiculous price tag, but who else do we really have as an option.

Second, I don't have the time to actually roll around the pages with my old post, but I've always said he's limited, so I am not gonna waste too much time. His first touch, heading, even using his strength is not something he is good at. If he has an off day his finishing lets him down too. Don't get me wrong, I love the fact he was tapping the badge when he equalised against MU, or how goes berserk every time he scores. But? What More? I, personally, dislike his technical ability, and would be okay for selling him. I think, ME Personally, that he can be replaced.
