Special Juan 28,141
So he claims himself that he has multiple offers.Wouldn't it be just our luck if he chooses somewhere other than us? Hopefully it's not like last summer where one by one every striker we were linked with signs elsewhere.Maybe if the Cavani to United rumors are true they'd be willing to sell us Rooney after all. There's no way Rooney, after signing a new mega deal, will be happy to not only play second fiddle to RvP, but have Cavani to compete with as well.Cannot see Cavani joining a club that doesn't have CL football. Pizy 18,907
Cannot see Cavani joining a club that doesn't have CL football. If these shit rumors are to be believed (lol) they say that it wouldn't be a problem. The reason I can't see him going there is because he'd be in the same exact situation he reportedly wants out of at PSG. Even if United were to sell both Welbeck and Hernandez he'd still have RvP and Rooney to compete with. It literally makes zero sense. Unless RvP or Rooney were sold. With Van Gaal going there and him being so close to RvP I can't see him being sold.

He also missed like 2 clear cut chances and sent MU out of CL against Bayern.I might get crucified for this, but I thought Costa proved last night that he wouldn't work as our no.1 striker.Yes, he may have scored (from the spot) but I just saw him getting extremely frustrated very easily when he couldn't get much ball.We want a top finisher (which he is, granted) who can stay calm and patient when we are playing against the shit teams in the PL who sit 10 men behind the ball - they've been our problem teams this season. He got frustrated in the first half and looked sullen and like he was going to kick out and get sent off any minute.I'm not a Costa basher, before last night I thought he was our best option, but the game yesterday has made me less than excited about his prospects if we do in fact buy him... But then who else is there? Benzema or Mandzukic? Not convinced by either. The thing is anyone would have been frustrated by us, hardly anyone score a hat trick against us or anything mate because we are very good defensively. Even the very best in Messi and CR7 found out in the past and Costa is no where near them. Don't judge him base on 2 matches against us but in general this season and 2nd half of last season he has been in world class form.
Fernando 6,585
Bony is PL proven and whilst he may not get the amount of games he does at Swansea the larger salary and being at a top club should be enough to sway him to make the move. I honestly rate Bony hugely, I think he would be a super edition to the squad and his style is one of which is what we need but also the pattern of player he is would sit similar to that of Costa and Lukaku if it where those who were in the squad. There is also some other options out there such as Huntelaar who could be purchased for reasonable amounts but at the same time offering another outlet for that position. What isn't feasible is the three world class strikers option, it won't happen and shouldn't happen. Get the balance right but at the same time as purchasing that bit of quality that suits the squad make up and structure. After the whole Torres thing, I never want to hear this bullshit ever again! Massive upgrade on what we have currently and would link up brilliantly with our attacking midfield trio.Still hold on to what I was saying when we were after him last time. That if he was the featured, main main up top and shown some "love" from José he'd be back to his world class self. None of this dropping back into CM shit that he's been doing most of the time this season.Where does Rooney even play next season when RvP is back and Mata is more settled? Kagawa as well. Mata and Rooney always get in each other's way as it is and that without RvP.
couris 232
The horrible Torres was better than him over the 2 legs. Just sayin.
Special Juan 28,141
After the whole Torres thing, I never want to hear this bullshit ever again!Torres was completely the wrong striker from the off. I said this when he was signed because he was used to a style that allowed him to get behind defenders using pace. Our style at the time was one of a big strong striker in Drogba but because Torres scored goals people on the board thought he was the man, not taking into context our style and his. Torres cannot play with his back to goal and create and bring others into play, never has been and never will be. We have never replaced Drogba and there in lies the problem, that style fits our system, Bony can do it, Cavani too and also Costa, that's the pattern emerging and it's not hard to see why. The only place to be 11,313
Integral in the build-up to their first goal and wins a penalty (and scores under immense pressure) for the second.Did more against us than Zlatan, Cavani and Suarez have this season and has done something Messi has never done #justsaying
Special Juan 28,141
Seems a lot are judging him on just our games too. Been immense this season for them, hardly put a foot wrong. Three behind Ronaldo and tied with Messi on 27 for the season he still has the chance of the Pichici and that again would be a bit special. It took him like 3 minutes before he properly prepared the ball on the spot. Now you could hear all the fans cheering for you to fail and miss, whole 3 minutes, yet he took the penalty brilliantly. JDY 1,290
Was dangerous every time he got the ball. Still not sure about the price tag though

Liquidator 5,176
He's a proper, proper cunt. A proper one. Elbows flying everywhere, staring out JT and the ref etc. but I couldn't give a single fuck if we sign him next season and he's banging them in for us. Tomo 21,751
Whats funny is when it looked for all the world Falcao was coming here, we all wanted a more 'all round' forward like Cavani, Falcao went to France then the Cavani rumours gathered momentum and then all of a sudden we wanted a PL proven forward in Rooney instead. Back 6 months ago when getting Costa was a pipe dream almost every one wanted him, now it looks like it could well happen all of a sudden Manduzic and Bony are better options I wonder what type of comments will find it's way here next season when Torres scores for his new club in a weekend Costa doesn't. November33rd 84
Kinda funny. All the reasons people here don't like him are the same things our rivals used to say about Drogba.
