No one says he can't against the like of Bournemouth, Sunderland, Newcastle and so on. He's perfectly capable of that.

His passing today has absolutely nothing to do with the opposition, it's pure ability.

He has numerous deficiencies such as lack of pace and positional awareness that can be costly against the 'bigger' teams, but that doesn't take away from the fact that he is the best passer on the league.

Just need better support against the big team.

If matic gets back to form next season and we get Nainggolan that might be a good 3.

He's now joint-3rd in all-time PL assists. The other player you ask? None other's than our very own Frank Lampard.

1. Ryan Giggs 131

2. Steven Gerrard 99

3. Cesc Fabregas/Frank Lampard 96

4. Thierry Henry 80

5. James Milner 73

Which one is correct? :D

He showed yesterday why he is so important for us. The only mid we have that can create.

Ruud Gullit was on MOTD today and raised the point that on a sunny afternoon where the opposing team is playing in a risk free manner of course Fabregas will be magical. With no-one applying pressure, closing down space and restricting the time he has of course he'll knock up 3 assists from 4 goals today. He's got the quality, vision and accuracy. No-one's doubting that, but it's how he can be a better player by being stronger and tactically better. If he doesn't fit with Conte's system then he's going to find life at Stamford Bridge hard.

I agree, but I don't see much changing. He needs players behind him doing the dirty work for him to flourish. Conte's system and signings will play a big part in what type of Cesc we see next season. He is our Pirlo

It's sad when you see Fabregas these days and think what could have been. Once he had so much talent and the world at his feet.

Sure he's special, but there was so much more to come, unbelievable...
