Don't think we'd see much of a problem with Arsenal getting £5m for this. Its hardly going to dramatically enhance their transfer options is it?

Doubt the reason has much to do with Arsenal getting money, as much as it has with Chelsea negotiating the best possible deal for themselves. 5 mil pounds is still quite a bit, at least in FFP times for Chelsea that could be used elsewhere.
