General consensus was that the past 3 windows these owners put their hands in their pockets and signed some genuine potential “world class” players so they deserved some slack despite a lot of criticism from various sections of the fanbase.

Honestly, for me, they’ve stripped the club of what it was under the previous regime and for the worse. The whole plan, from overhauling various departments of the staff, huge amount of signings/departures and general direction they are looking to take the club.

Giving the majority of these young players 7/8 year contracts has allowed some sort of notion to set in that we don’t need to be competitive immediately because we will definitely be competitive in the future. Or thats how it looks from the last 18 months. Not to mention the owners, manager and media constantly driving the bandwagon using words like “project” and “processes” like there is no tomorrow.

After a £1 billion pound spend, to look considerably much worse off than we did 18 months ago, embarrassing isn’t even the word. And it is not sustainable either to spend £1bn and get it so considerably wrong which begs the question, how much more money are these going to need to spend? How much more can we realistically afford to spend if we aren’t anywhere near to where we should be competitively in terms of European football? I’ve said it time and time again, Winstanley and Stewart both have to go, they are at the top of the food chain for footballing operations. Their targets, transfers, negotiating…. out of their depth considerably.

"“We thought Chelsea [was] frankly an asset, a business that was not terribly well managed on the football side, sporting side or promotional side" ~ Behdad Eghbali

Sheer arrogance. I always go back to this quote when the team is in the mud these days.

Eat humble pie.

What a regression we have. But as many people said 1 billion spent and did not signed good strikers.

If we don't improve fast we might get caught in relegation fight.

They spent billion. Will build new stadium. Their heart is on the right place. Yes, they are incompetent but can you blame them for that?

Yes. The billion is tax deductible. They are making a profit from TV revenue, marketing, and borrowing with assets. The Clubs success is secondary, collateral. Roman Abramovich made the club winning as the foremost priority. That's the difference.

I want to defend these clowns for spending the money they have... alot of clubs fans would love to see their owners splash the cash Bohely and Eggface have but it's just a complete mess.

Is this a trick question?

Their first job in football. They want best but do not know how. They are trying many different things. 4 managers. Plenty of people with great CV hired at the club. They see their mistakes, you can see they let others running the show now.

Results took everyone by surprise. Us, them... Fans went crazy for Enzo after WC and Todd delivered him. Same for Caicedo in the summer. If they are only after profit they would not spent 220m for just 2 players. Took Mudryk from a rival and Lavia.

Like I said. Heart at the right place but incompetent.

You can see some fancy recipe on 24 Kitchen by Jamie Oliver and tell your wife about it, and she tries to make you happy and make it but ends up badly and not tasty. She had nice intention but did not know how because she did it first time.

This is our board. They will learn in process.
